Use to be a pretty decent store but has really gone down hill. I will give the store points for being very clean and the employees are very friendly with the exception of the few women in the head scarves. The couple of them that I have dealt with were nowhere near as friendly as other staff I have dealt with. ( Might be a cultural thing, Im not sure why they seemed so "snappy" but each of the ones I have dealt with were.) The big problem is that this store has greatly reduced their food department and it now has NO selection and the grocery area is so small that its not worth going there if you have ANY food items on your list. I would have guessed that once Rainbow Foods left the area, whoever is in charge of this store would have jumped on the chance to actually expand its food offerings as the customers who once went to Rainbow would be looking for a new place to buy their groceries, but Walmart really dropped the ball there and instead heavily shrunk their grocery department and therefor, losing out on that huge market of new grocery shoppers. Though this store is right by my home, I will be choosing to drive farther away so that I can go to the Target off the highway. That Target may be a tad bit more expensive, but its worth it for the convenience of being able to get my household items AND my groceries in the same place.

I went to Walmart in Inver Grove Heights, MN off of 52. I waited patiently in line, with 3 tills open, with 3-4 customers in each line. The tellers were working to the best of their abilities, apologizing for the long wait. I noticed 3 employees, totally aware of the lines building up at each of the tills, but kept socializing among their selves. I waited in line for over 15 minutes, which they could of open another till or assisted the tellers, so the lines could move faster and take alitte load off the tellers....Im not trying to run your business, but mine and other customers time is valuable also, especially when you have employees socializing when other workers have to work harder to satisfied the customers...I called the manager on duty, but his sincerity on my frustration wasnt really his concern, so maybe this feedback will get some attention to coach employees that you work as a team to have a successful business and have satisfied return customers....this took place at about 5:45pm on 08-03-2016. thank-you,. I like that it is more of a quiet Wal-mart. They generally have a clean but very unorganized store. We stop there every week for shopping and we get bye but they will probably not have all of the things on our list at one time. The Childrens Clothes Area, Young Girls Clothes Area, Womens Clothes Area, and Office Area are NEVER be fully stocked!!! They are very rarely organized and almost never have all new and current clothes. Many things on the racks are older stuff that they couldnt sell and cant completely liquidate so it makes the New Clothes Unfindable and it is Always Unfolded and Cluttered!!! Never Fully Stocked like some other Wal-marts. When things go out of stock in the Office Area, they are gone for a loooooonnnnnngggg time and maybe restock quarterly. If you find what you need/want, you better buy it or else you wont get another chance for months or possibly ever. They NEED to CLEAR out old inventory regularly and re-stock things. Definitely not the best Wal-Mart by far.

I stood in the customer service lime for more than half an hour with 8 people behind me! There was ONE person working. I flagged down another employee and asked if they could get someone to help her. I saw her go to another young employee but thats as far as that went. When it was my turn I asked the lady working alone if there was no one else to call and she said the assistant manager was supposed to be watching and send her help if there was a line. There were now 12 people behind me! I asked another employee to page the asst mgr for me He had to page twice because it took so long. I informed the asst mgr, Paul, of the problem and he appeared unconcerned until I said I was going to stay to watch to make sure the problem was taken care of. He begrudgingly went over and started helping. The poor lonely lady was getting the brunt of all the folks having to wait in line all that time.

This Walmart is the definition of why Walmart gets a bad name. The photo department is the worst in terms of customer service and assistance. We have placed two orders at this location and they have yet to get it correct. And to top it off, they are extremely rude. And now just as recent as yesterday, a young guy working at customer service counter could not figure out how to locate a secondary pick up person on a site to store order. He basically said there was nothing he could do for us. The manager of this location should be fired given the customer service his store orders and the horrible experience he offers to his customers. At all costs avoid this location.

Most of the time I come here for my whenever I want to come here for a walk and check things out to see if anything new besides the seasonal changes with clothing and the electronic area... I know for a fact, for those in the West Saint Paul/IGH area can agree this is a far better Walmart than the one in West Saint Paul. Doesnt have the full grocery store service but much better peace of mind being at the IGH Walmart. Hastings is somewhat bit a drive but is open 24 hrs. I like coming to this IGH Walmart whether out for a stroll or getting a few things.

Never enough cash registers open, always stinks when you walk in, sometimes decent employees but Im never satisfied or disatisfied with the customoer service. Whenever I go to the electronics theres never enough employees to help or when I do see someone they always tell me its not their job and then they dont even try to get someone over to help at the very least. When I call and an older woman answers she always sounds like she hates life and everyone who she comes across, bout time to break her hip through the phone n catch a charge

itd be better if not for the one annoying guy. Theres some d bag cashier who never shuts the f*** up. White guy, glasses, 25-35, most annoying voice ever, pretty sure hes somewhere on the spectrum. Awkward AF. Will officially avoid his line like the plague from now on. Way to make everything take 30% longer. I know people dont wanna talk to you in real life, so you have to get your fix while youre ringing people up dinosaurically slow and commenting on every god damn item they get. No one wants that. No one.

I just spent 1 hour shopping to get my things, and I went to the self checkout to be treated like an absolute burden to the older woman working. I needed my coupons verified and she was so extremely annoyed. I walked out and left over $100 of purchases there. What a shame. I will never go to this location again. Please work on improving your customer service skills. I have 1 hour before work and now I have none for my shopping done.
