A decent store with a new, better flow to the store aisles following their remodel. The deli often serves dry, over-done fried chicken (which is a shame) but their chicken wings are usually good. Their produce selection is decent but could use a few more options (such as heirloom tomatoes, thai eggplant, fresh olives, etc...). Their meats are fairly good although they recently stopped carrying the "No Name" brand of hot dogs (a shame: theyre a bit pricey but were perfect for my diabetic diet ... Ive since started going to other stores to find that particular item). As for canned goods, like pop (aka "Soda" for you folk in Wisconsin), they seem to come and go with what they stock. Things like Diet Rite Pure Zero Cherry is sometimes out-of-stock for months. Again, a shame: a low-sodium, no-caffeine, diet soda is hard to find that tastes good and this one, does. Of late, Ive been going up to the nearby Bobs Produce for fresh veggies and fruits (its more expensive, yes, but they have a frequently better selection) and to Holy Land for flat bread, spices, and meats like goat or lamb (which Cub does not reliably carry or, when they do, only carry it at high prices). Mostly, I go to this Cub when Im in a hurry, need canned goods, or dont want to take the long drive down to United Noodle for some Asian ingredients; this Cub does have a decent ethnic aisle.

The old lady cashiers gossip about customers.They dont carry as many grocery items as the other Cub Foods stores in the north metro.St.Anthony Silver Lake,Northtown Cub Foods,Coon Rapids cub foods, Blaine University Av.Cub Foods, AND WORST THING THEY MAKE MISTAKES AND CHARGED ME FOR SIX ORANGES .FIVE DAYS LATER THE SAME CASHIER ARGUED WITH ME AND DID NOT WANT TO RETURN MY $3,34.He said it was too late to ask for a refund.I demanded my money. I told him I would not leave the cash register without my money. So then he left.He asked the head cashier to come over Then he told the head cashier about the oranges and tried to lie and say that he never made any mistake. I really despise stores that lie for a couple bucks period I wouldnt be asking for the refund if I wasnt due to me and Justified. I think he just wanted some extra cash to go get break at McDonalds across the street. Also they let stale bread stay too long.They also let food items go past their freshness date.Bakery people are also rude until you argue with them.Then they are surprised by a customer advocating against their rudeness.

Cub Foods in Fridley. This location is very depressing. Its obvious that there has been very little done to maintain the store since it was converted from a Holiday Plus decades ago, and, with a few outstanding exceptions, everyone there is unfriendly and surly. The only reason to go would be for sale items in their weekly ad, but theres been more than one occasion where they dont even stock advertised items so I end up going to the Silver Lake Cub.

Have ordered cakes from this cub for three years, yesterday and today them being rude they have lost our business. You would think they would have people working this time of year. And the lady in the bakery today was a rude woman. And thats saying it nicely.

Sometimes the store is clean, sometimes its a mess. Deli workers are constantly stressed and annoyed to be forced to help and answer questions. Lines are usually pretty long. Id rather drive the distance to go to another grocery store.

basic shopping and much better after the remodel. less skeezy. deli is sub-par though. got chicken deal and the white meat made my moms cooking look good. I had to wash down every bite with my drink. stick to the pre-made sandwiches.

Home Cub. We lived in the neighborhood for many years, and this Cub is what we called, "the store". The neighborhood has grown and changed over the years and Cub has grown with it with modern departments and lotsa fresh stuff.
