UPDATE: Until I talk to management or corporate, my review is One star. Would give Zero if I could. My first ever Sonic experience was a a little over a month ago, and I have been back twice since then. What a joke! Every time, it takes forever to order, and you cant get what you want to order anyway. This staff needs an overhaul as their service skills are atrocious. Its going to be a cold day in hell before I come back to this location. Good food for what you pay for, although not a huge fan of the fries here. I didnt order fries, I ordered Onion Rings. It appeared the girl taking the drive thru orders inside was inexperienced because it took over 5 minutes to place my order as she kept asking for help. Once I came around to pay, I was informed by a different person than the one who took my order that they had been out of Rings for a period of time and he had told them multiple times to stop letting customers order them. He asked if I wanted anything else, and never being here before I didnt know what else was available. So I said I guess I would take some Fries. He removed the Rings from my order, then still charged me for the Fries... thought maybe there would be some sort of compensation for the ordeal so far, but at this point I dont really care, Im just hungry because I havent ate all day. After he took my money and shut the little drive thru window he turned around and said very loudly to the employees "Everybody!!! Again... We are out of Onion Rings!! People cannot order them!!" LOL The Fries were shoestring cut and soggy... two strikes right off the bat, well three really because I heard they have really good Onion Rings and thats really what I went there for. The Burger I ordered was made the way I asked for, and it didnt disappoint... it was really quite good, especially for a drive in/thru place. Burger gets 5 stars for sure! Traditional drive in setting that also has a drive thru and outdoor seating. It appeared to be popular and busy, as it was 9pm and there were only a few open car ports. Next time I may try the whole actual drive in thing!

Im guessing I wont hear anything back since my husband and I had a poor experience at this location about 6 months ago, took the time out to provide feedback and didnt hear a single word in response. Let me start by saying thank you for saving me the calories tonight but Id like the time I spent at your stall back! With the money you spend on advertising youd think you could hire some helpful, professional and competent individuals (again, this is not my first visit). I ventured out to purchase a treat for my husband and I this evening. I ordered two of the Sonic blasts-medium size. Since the drive thru was backed up, I decided to pull into a stall (according to your advertisements, this is the sonic recommendation "be first in line"). The gentleman took my order and said someone would be right out. I hadnt heard a thing for 12 min. It seemed like a long time for two ice cream treats, mind you the drive thru was empty at this point, so I called back. After a couple of minutes, she repeated my order and said itd be right out. I waited another 20 MINUTES and nothing. I was no longer patient, I was done. I called for the third time to tell them I was leaving and the service was unacceptable. The extremely pleasant (sarcasm) employee said, "thats fine, thats fine..". If I could point out one other thing: customers can see into the window as they wait for their order. Playing with your hair and your cellphone might not be the best use of your time. Then again, if the company allows it, WHY Not! So sickening. I PROMISE YOU, I will never be back. I strongly believe it is the Columbia Heights location and the type of employees you attract. I, as well as my family have sought out Sonic on MANY, many road trips over the years. But, guess what, competition is getting stronger everyday. I have a choice and only an idiot would drive out of their way to be treated so poorly. Whats the saying--- fool me once...---

I couldnt have rated you any lower, otherwise I would have. I came in last night at 9:00 PM with my boyfriend. After waiting 15 minutes for someone to respond to me pressing the call button, I finally got through and ordered 2 shakes. After about half an hour, someone comes up to my door with a different order and asked if it was ours, unfortunately, it was the car next to us, but I couldnt help but over hear the car hop tell the costumer that they had paid for their meal. Finally, after AN HOUR of waiting, my boyfriend angrily goes to bang on the door to be greeted FINALLY by the car hop with our shakes. His excuse? "Its been a crazy night, man." Now, I work in costumer service and had worked in fast food for almost 5 years, and no matter how "crazy" the night is, a shake would NEVER take an hour to make. Not to mention every time I looked behind me into the kitchen, all I saw was people standing around on their phones, leaving for smoke breaks, and people in street clothes walking in and out of the kitchen. When we finally got our shakes, not only were they melted and warm, but they were also wrong. So, not only did I wait an hour for a shake, but it was also wrong and I still paid for it. They didnt offer any food, or to pay our bill, or to give us something extra. I never usually write reviews, in fact this is my first one, but this is the WORST costumer service I have ever received and needless to say, I will never go back. Thanks.

My boyfriend and I was here about an hour ago and I really dont think Id ever go to this location again. We went through the drive thru and it didnt look busy at all. Very few cars parked and only 2 in the drive thru. It took almost 20mins for us to get our food! The lady came out to get my money before i got to the window and also to give me my "strawberry cheesecake shake". After she gave it to me she asked if i was already told the total... then just stared at me. Didnt repeat the total and explain what she wanted. When we finally get to the window they then give me back my card and they had no idea what else i needed, very poor communication. I then got my food, was just waiting on my jolly rancher with cherry slushy. They come an tell us they ran out of jolly rancher and itll be a bit. Then come back saying they are all out. I drive home and find out there was no honey mustard as requested. My food, the new york style hot dog, was gross. The bun was so soggy the bun was mush.. made me feel sick. Mozzarella sticks were warm, and i didnt get the right type of shake. Dont go here. Personally i think someone higher up needs to come an look into how things are being done. Because by my knowledge, being food safety certified, the food should not have been served. And being a manager at a Jimmy Johns with a drive thru, that is not how u handle customers. Learn some customer service.
