While my experience at Burn was a very quick one, I had the best experience Ive ever had walking into a cigar shop as a very new "enthusiast". Jason helped me out and was very polite with me - He gave me a bit of knowledge behind the kind of cigar I was looking for and never once overwhelmed me with questions of what exactly I was looking for (all the other times Ive gone into a shop to purchase a cigar Ive made it clear I am very new to smoking cigars and still get overwhelmed with questions that I have no idea how to answer). I will definitely be going back soon and would recommend this shop to anyone who doesnt enjoy a snooty cigar shop.

Fantastic lounge, laid back. Lots of comfortable seating, a few TVs, and often times patrons bring in treats or snacks to share, will often hold events for sports on TV and the like. The employees are extremely helpful to all levels of cigar smokers, and the humidor is the best in the area (Ive been to all cigar stores in the Twin Cities area) - cigars are flavorful, wrappers in great condition, perfect balance. Respectful environment, dont be a jerk and youll enjoy sitting there to finish off your favorite stick. Wholeheartedly recommend Burn.

Total newbie to Cigars, here. I was greeted very pleasantly at the door and told the man I knew nothing. He guided me to the humidor and asked me a couple questions. I did not feel overwhelmed whatsoever and I was able to learn some things too. The place was well ventilated too. When I was asked a price range for my budget, I was shown a cigar that fell in the middle for cost on my budget. They didnt try to up-sell me or try to add on a bunch of things. All in all an amazing experience. I look forward to visiting again in the future.

Im a little reluctant to write something because I hate to let the secret out, but I think word has spread already away. These guys have put together a great little business, and they are extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They also have a great selection. Best of all, they created a room thats more like a mid-size man-cave with several couches and TVs. To me, its the perfect place to go once in a while where I can relax and escape along with a cigar and a book.

Knowledgeable and friendly staff were totally helpful with a relatively inexperienced cigar smoker such as my self offering several reasonably priced choices based on my tastes. I make the somewhat lengthy drive to return to Burn just because I always feel welcome here, where other places can be somewhat intimidating for people who dont know much about cigars. Theyve also got a nice little lounge area to enjoy a smoke while reading, playing cards, or watching the TV.

Burn is a great cigar shop, with a very knowledgeable staff manning it! Inside has plush leather chairs, with a wide variety of sticks available. Staff is more then willing to answer any questions you have. Heck, they will even help you cut and light the cigar! You do pay a little more, but the value in the price is there, so Im more then willing to pay 1.50 more a stick to smoke it inside with friends and have a good time! Cheers to Burn!

Stopped in With my wife last week looking for a cigar for a friend, and to learn more about cigars. We were greeted at the door and thought we would have a good experience. Boy were we wrong. Once we started asking questions the gentleman clammed up, not a word other than pointing at one or two cigars and saying they were common. Looked like a great atmosphere but we didnt stick around long, and decided to try another shop.

@ek kruger. Really, what shop would that be exactly? I can definitely get better prices elsewhere, but youre not going to get a better selection. Some of the guys can be irritable at times, but its not that big of a deal. If youve never smoked a cigar, its hard to point you to something you like. Just buy a sample pack that they commonly have on plain view.

I am a newbie to cigars, with newbie questions. I stopped in at lunch today to get a couple of recommendations and ask a couple of questions regarding my little humidor at home. They were friendly, exceptionally helpful, and took the time to answer all of my questions. I walked in cold today, but expect to be going back often.

Just wanted to say to the other person who reviewed: the cigars are a little more expensive ($.50-$1.00 from what I saw) because they run a smoke shop. I thought after the smoking ban we wouldnt be able to smoke indoors anywhere, but here you can. Nice big leather chairs, tables, tvs, etc. Very cool place, Ill be going back.

Nice place and an okay selection. But prices are HIGH!!!! Illusione Rotchilds in Des Moines are $3.95 each and at Burn $7.95. A lot of the cigars here are at least $3-$5 more expensive than the prices in Des Moines. Aside from that the staff was knowledgable and the place was nice.

Went into the place with my wife looking for specifics, you guys had an awesome little tin of CAO MX2s, awesome handcrafted cigars theyre absolutely Bad to the Bone! Im smoking one today and playing guitar at the lake! You guys need to visit these people, they are awesome!

With tobacco tax in Minnesota very high the pricing is actually very reasonable. Great selection and a lot of cool events. Very nice staff and an incredible atmosphere.
