This little jewelry store inside Meijer on Carpenter Road may appear nondescript at first glance, but it is absolutely the BEST customer oriented independent, family owned business that I have ever had the pleasure of going to! I initially went to Sergios to get a vintage Hamilton 10k gold watch repaired. I had already received outrageously expensive quotes from Lewis jewelers and another local jewelry repair business. Neither of the quotes was under $100, and I wisely decided to obtain a 3rd estimate from Sergio. I was SOOO glad that I decided to stop in on a whim! I was greeted enthusiastically by Sergio and his wife when I approached the counter; they instantly made me felt welcome...as if I had known them for years. Sergio is of Armenian descent, grew up in Italy, and has lived and owned his own business in the U.S. for more than 25 years. His lovely wife (who told me she is from Bulgaria) complimented my hairstyle; from there we launched into a lengthy conversation, chatting like old friends about local bargains - from beauty parlors to thrift store shops. When we finally got around to business, the reason for my visit, Sergio told me that the watch really wasnt worth repairing, unless it was a treasured family heirloom. He told me it would be approximately $50 to send it out to be repaired, with the rare wind-up part that it needed. I cant thank you guys enough for your honest, fair service, and most of all for your smiling service!

This is a reply to Amad Allans review. This is Sergio :). These customers came to our store - mother and son. They were very polite and said they had a watch fixed overseas and said whoever did it, did a very lousy job. They asked us to replace the pin on this watch which as I already mentioned was worked on overseas previously. The mom also had a different watch that was bought overseas and which was too big for her wrist... They left their items and went to shop around. They then came back in approximately 45 minutes to pick up their items. They looked at the thems and seemed happy, picked their things and asked for the price. They then payed and left the store. Unfortunately, the next thing we noticed was that they had put a complaint on our google profile about the price. And I can honestly say that weve always been fair and reasonable with our customers. In fact, were one of the most reasonable stores around. So I truly believe theres no wrong doing on either side apart from their feeling that it was too expensive. Two weeks later Mr. Ahmad came back with another broken pin from the other side of the band. At this point I told him that we were back order on this particular size of pin so I gave him a refund for the previous repair also and told him to check back with us another day if he likes. Frankly, the way I feel is that this review should be removed from our profile. Thanks, Sergio

I have a strand of pearls that belonged to my deceased mom and they mean a lot to me. The string was very old so I took it to the upscale Urban Jewlers in Ann Arbor. They restrung the pearls so tight that they didnt hang correctly and the graduation of the pearls was out of order. I was told to just let them hang and the string will loosen. Many years later and unable to wear the pearls I decided to give Sergio a try. My moms pearls are wonderful now! The restring is perfect and he was able to get the pearls back in order too. That was my first time seeing Sergio and I have been back many times. Recently I took in another piece that had been my moms. She had a silver necklace of "Holy Mother Mary" that was almost black from years of grime. Sergio worked on my piece for a long time and now she is beautiful again and didnt loose any of the detail. I dont know how he did it but WOW, it looks wonderful. Sergio has fixed and cleaned my wedding ring, my anniversary ring and I am heading there now to drop off my watched that I droped on the floor and broke the glass face on it. So blessed to have found a jewler that I can trust and take keepsakes to for repairs.

Words cannot describe what wonderful, caring people Sergio and Alina are!! We feel very blessed that weve met them. They truly have made us feel like family. Sergio is truly a Master Jeweler and has created a beautiful Mothers ring for me inclusive of my Daughter and Sons birthstones along with my birthstone. The plastic mold that he first showed me when I was trying to describe what I wanted literally turned into a beautiful work of art, utilizing both gold and precious stones. Sergio also created, for my Daughters boyfriend, a precious "heart" ring as a surprise to give my Daughter for Christmas. Sergio and Alina, many more times than they should have, offered to clean my rings and fix our jewelry for very little cost, if any cost at all. They are such wonderful people, and truly Masters at what they do. I would highly recommend them for any type of jewelry creation or repair! Thank you so much my dear friends!!

Without doubt Sergio is the finest jeweler Ive ever had the pleasure of dealing !!!!! His wife is a "jewel" herself! I went in just to have a watchband fitted and Sergio not only did a "PERFECT" job with it he suggested I have my diamonds and other jewelry "cleaned" as well. When I came back after about 20 minutes, my jewelry didnt even look like the same jewelry!!!!!!!!!! Almost afraid to wear it because it looked so beautiful. Ive been home now about an hour now and my spouse couldnt believe what he had done and they make me feel like family. Who could help but sing their PRAISES! The Greatest Jeweler Ive ever encountered in my 67 years of life. I will be going back again with 2 more rings next week. WONDERFUL people! They make you feel like family!!!!! I, more, than HIGHLY RECOMMEND that any one visit them and see what they can do for your prized jewelry!!!! Great way to end my week!

I went to Meijer the other day and on my way out I noticed Sergios shop. My husband and I got married in May 2015 and my grandmother gave me my great-great grandmothers wedding ring (white gold w/ a diamond). Its very old but in really good condition. I desperately needed it re-sized but I knew it wouldnt be cheap so I avoided the situation for almost a year. For some reason when I saw the shop I knew that Today was the day!. The whole customer experience was fabulous. I am employed for Zingermans and if youve ever been to any of our businesses, you know we mean business when it comes to outstanding customer service! All potential extra costs were mentioned up front so there was no surprise when I picked up my finished product. Sergio and his wife were so welcoming and there is no question that they love the work they do. It definitely shows and it incredibly inspiring. 10/10!
