After reading about other the trials and tribulations of other plus size brides, including disrespectful treatment and lack of samples in plus-sizes, I was determined to create a different experience for myself. I did not want my long awaited wedding dress shopping to be ruined. After some google magic, I came across Bombshell Bridal. I loved their website and heir thoughts on how EVERY woman deserves a magically experience, regardless of size. I ran the idea past my mom and sister, and we agreed that a road trip was in order. Bombshell Bridal is everything I had hoped for and more. The ladies in the shop are lovely, especially Debra, my consultant, with whom I immediately hit it off. The owner, Amanda, was on site and is very accommodating. The business is family owned and run and everyone is wonderful. The atmosphere is the shop is warm and welcoming, there is no pretension and there are plenty of opinions (if you want them). When I checked in with Debra to see how we were doing with time, she told me not to worry about it. There is a large selection of beautiful gowns, even at budgets $1000 and under. There is also a gorgeous selection of discontinued gowns that can be bought off the rack "as-is". I probably tried on 20 gowns. I received construction feed back from my consultant, did not hear a negative word from anyone and was shushed when I commented on my imperfections. I had the fortunate problem of having many dresses that looked good... but none of them felt quite like "the dress." When I asked Debra if Id really know when I found "the dress," she encouraged me that I would...even if it wasnt purchased from Bombshell. Ultimately, I found "the dress". It is on order and Im already looking forward a return road trip - possibly with some bridesmaids - to pick it up and visit the ladies of Bombshell Bridal again. I cannot recommend enough that anyone who has concerns about ANY body image issues, who is plus sized or wants a laid back bridal gown experience visit Bombshell Bridal. I traveled 720 miles round trip and am SO glad I did. If you are able to make the trip, it is worth it. I promise. Im proud to be a Bombshell Bride! Delete review

Third Update: Although there were some hiccups to getting my dress, the ladies here made a valiant effort and the dress made it in time and the alterations went well. I looked great and the other ladies look smashing as well. I received non stop compliments on the dress. I had decided not to shop here again but after the lengths that the ladies went to to get my dress here and calm an angry bridesmaid, I have changed my mind. Review update: I thought I loved this place. Had a fantastic time when I ordered the dress, but after the phone call yesterday, I am not happy. My sisters wedding is on June 13th. My dress wont be shipped to me until May 1st! What if there is something wrong with the dress. When I tell the woman that I spoke with that this is unacceptable, her response to me "it gives you a month". Are you kidding me. How about a "let me see what I can do" not well thats that. 1st review: Had the best time at this boutique. Due to weather and the length of the drive, we were late, but we were still greeted with smiles and a no problem attitude. Julie (Chloe) was amazing. Took the time to talk to my sister who is the bride and get a feel for what she wanted and then talked with me, the maid of honor to see what I wanted. We discussed a budget and she made sure we came in under it. My mother was also with us and she made her feel comfortable and she found thee most beautiful dress. My mom had concerns about certain places on the dress and whether she would be able to cover her arms. Julie found her the most beautiful shrug that went with the dress perfect. I found the perfect dress and the best part is all the other girls in the party are going to look just as good. We got their dresses in a different color but the same style. The bombshell ladies even have the ability to help my sisters out of town friend. I am getting married in 2016 and will be back there to look for my dress. Thank you ladies!! I didnt think I was "plus size" until I went wedding dress shopping. After an accident and 2 surgeries and 8 months without being able to walk I was finally getting my life back. though i had gained some weight during that time I was about a size 12-14 and let me tell you if you are a size 12 or larger forget about going wedding dress shopping.......a few places I went to had literally 1-2 dresses for me to try on. they would bring some in and say well just hold it up and see if you like it if we knew it wouldnt fit. I felt humiliated and ashamed of my new post surgery body. that is until one bridal shop recommended that I go to bombshell bridal. The minute i walked in the door i felt welcomed (i made an appt) and they let me pick a few and pick a few for me and we went to town having a blast trying on dresses. I just ordered my dress today and I am SOOOO thrilled! Amanda and her team are fabulous and I can not say enough good things about them. Ladies........they are worth the drive if you want to actually ENJOY wedding dress shopping and try on a bunch of dresses in your sizes they have it all!

I love Bombshell Bridal! This is actually my second time around buying a bridal gown from them (my family and my in-laws are very different culturally and religiously so we have had to have two separate weddings). I actually just went in today without an appointment just to look around a bit. They werent very busy so I went ahead and asked if I could try some dresses on, luckily Kirah was free to work with me! I had picked out 4 dresses, all of which were gorgeous and 2 of which I loved. Kirah ended up also pulling an amazing gown with lace detail, beading and lace illusion sleeves and that ended up being the one!!! Rest assured the ladies at Bombshell are never monotone and unenthusiastic the way so many other employees of bridal shops are. These girls are ready to have fun!! Everyone is friendly and professional and will always stand up for the bride and her interests. They also are not looking to push a sale, they really do want you to be happy. LOVE these ladies, especially Kirah <3 Thanks again Bombshell, I cant wait to wear my dress for my final special day!

I wish I could give so many more stars! This place restored my faith in Bridal gown shopping. We all know being a plus size bride has its challenges. We all have insecurities that we try to cover up. We want the same experience as everyone else. I walked in there with a clear budget and they respected that and didnt push to go higher. I appreciate that. Ive been to so many appointments where you see the hidden agenda but this appointment was based solely on making me feel like the most beautiful bride I could be in a dress that I loved and could afford. I never once felt unwanted or like I was wasting their time. Sara made us feel like her number one priority. I always say in Bridal you pay for your experience and my experience went above anything I could hope for. If you take one thing from my review please take this, If you want a fairytale dress shopping experience GO TO BOMBSHELL BRIDAL! It is worth any drive you have to take to get there. I am so eternally grateful to them. Thank you for helping me find my dream dress.
