To whom it may concern: I am writing this review in regards to but in no way affiliated with, Hero Time Comics. I just happened to notice Hero Time Comics as I was headed home from work. Now theyre my latest favorite hidden gem. The shop itself is not as big as some other local Comic/Collectible shops, though they do make use of every square in foot of available space. However, what they lack in size, they make up for in many other areas. 1st and foremost~Customer service. The owner (forgive me for my inability to remember names) or "owners" I should say, genuinely seem to care about customer satisfaction. My most recent visit to their family owned shop was actually tonight (1/2/2017) and I had the pleasure of meeting and making a trade/puchase with the owners wife. Who, as with most marriages (including my own) is most likely the one calling the shots. But in all seriousness, I have never once felt uncomfortable or unappreciated while doing business with whomever is behind the counter. 2nd) They have a very large and diverse selection of collectibles in stock. Many of which I have been unable to locate in any other location and if I do happen to find what I am looking for else ware. The products are more often than not priced far above retail and theyre unwilling to budge in the slightest even if it means that they will surely lose that customer. HeroTime has always been willing to offer a fair price or "barter". As long as you make a reasonable offer. In short- Hero Time Comics is a family owned and operated business which offers to buy, sell or trade comics and collectibles for at retail pricing. If you make them a fair offer, they will be more than fair with you. Theyre one of the very few shops of their kind that I have found that I can honestly say that about. Again, I am in no way being compensated for this public review other than the chance to offer my honest and sincere opinion in hopes of spreading the word about a business/family that, in my opinion, could be YOUR newly uncovered Comics and Collectibles "hidden gem". I hope that anybody that reads this review and is in the area will stop in and take the time to explore the shop. You may just find that one (or many) item(s) that you have been searching for. Hands down the best comic shop in all the downriver area. The employee or owner (dont really know which, didnt ask) working at the time was very helpful and kind. I sold a couple comics and got a very good price for all of them. They also have a huge selection of old comics and tons and tons of new ones. To sum it up, I was very satisfied with my visit, they seem very knowledgeable and gave me a great price for my stuff, great selection of new and old comics and I will definitely return.
