Service Center .....Mixed feelings. I had good and bad experiences with the Service Center here, that why the 3 stars. Back in time when my Jetta was under warranty the engine light come on and I needed an evaluation if the issue was covered by warranty. Since I do mechanical work myself for minor repairs and have an ODBII diagnostic tool, before actually going to the dealership I plugged in the device to retrieved the error code. Once at the Service Center, the clerk communicates to me there is a significant fee for diagnosis and he cannot tell upfront if the issue is covered under warranty. Hoping to clarify some of his doubts, I reply that I have the error code and he may be able to determine the warranty status. I receive a long, intense scrutiny from the most dept of his eyes. Then a quasi patronizing sentence plays out from his vocal chords: " Sir, your code is not meaningful, we (VW) have different codes, therefore we need to perform diagnostic ourselves". Well aware of the nonsense I decided to play along and asked if he could verify if my code was by any means found under warranty. He pulls out a list of errors from a service manual, scrolls up and down the page a couple of times and finally announces: "The code is under warranty, however as I mentioned before we cannot guarantee that it is the right code, if decide to proceed we will run our diagnostic, the fee might be refundable if it is found out to be under warranty". He is very young, I sense a bit of stress perhaps for the new position, and I do not want to give him hard time so I simply say: " Well, young man, lets proceed then". 24 hours later the service is completed, I return to retrieve the car, there is no surprise when the same young individual happily announces that the repair was performed under warranty. I feel appropriate to make a point though asking if may I know the code that was revealed by the VW official diagnostic tool. A faint blush appears on his cheeks. : " Incidentally, Sir the code is the same that you had diagnosed yourself" .

i been doing business here for 25 years. they are dealership so they are higher than other places. i have a friend there. Lee Trombley takes very good care of me in the mechanical area. the service manager is also a very nice man. he name is iafrate and i had a battery problem. he couldnt give me the money i requested but he did set up a case with Toyota world head quarters and they paid me. i had another occasion to interact with this dealership over some keys i wanted to get made. there are new regulations out there now if my name isnt on the registration i cannot make a key. i talked to the parts guy and he turned me down. he told me who he reported to and i called that guy. we got into it and i hung up. He called me back! i respected that a lot. i always do the man has stones. then he and i got into a manly contest but he had all the cards so i had to fold. iwished him a merry christmas and he said what about the parts guy and i was very nasty. the next morning the parts guy Joe reached out to me in love and i didnt have the courage to call him back. then he called. Me said he had a solution to the problem. i went there and he took really good care of me. the problem was solved and i started telling them about a movie i likes. i get distracted really easily. on my way down the road i realized i had left without paying so i called him back about that. he said Happy Holidays. these guys are the best. sometimes i have to fight but i will do that. i enjoy it makes me feel alive. in the end they come through. the service end of this dealership parts and the mechanical end work very hard to do whats right for the customer. the old service manager has left . i talked to the new one and mentioned an area i thought they needed to be aware of. one of my contacts there said they do check that area now when a customer goes in for an oil change.

I had always bought or leased domestic vehicles for the past 25 years. Not feeling the response to my needs I decided to leased a Jetta from Fox Volkswagen in Rochester HIlls, MI. I leased a Jetta and the mileage, feel and performance exceeded my previous vehicles and the lease process from test drive, to signing the papers and driving away were extremely well organized and timely. My second and present vehicle was a Tiguan. I happened to drive one and was so impressed I called the sales rep I dealt with previously and shared that when I turn in my Jetta I want my next car to be a Tiguan. He called me back the next day and shared that with the low mileage on my vehicle the manager approved the swapping of vehicles and no money would have to change hands to get me into my next car. They shared they had the vehicle in all the colors I earlier mentioned preference for. I told the sales rep that my time was very limited so he prepared all the documents prior to my arrival, contacted my insurance company with my approval and already had the proof of insurance in his possession. I arrived at 9:00am and left at 9:30. It was an effortless transaction, zero surprises, and my first maintenance check up date was already in place. The entire experience was very satisfying and I am truly enjoying my new car. My sales rep was Alex and his manager Rob stayed close to the transaction from start to finsih and truly had my best interests covered. I will return when its time for my next vehicle and I will recommend Fox Volkswagen to anyone I know.

I came to toyota service dept after someone on road told me fuel tank was dropping under my car. It was around 4 so no way it could be fixed that day. I repeatedly asked karen at service desk if car was safe to drive so i could get home and bring it back next day. Two fuel tank straps were broken. She kept sarcastically telling me, Well, youve been driving it two weeks like this. and each time I explained that the tank had not dropped during that time but the skid plate had been hanging and my husband tied it on..i even told her i live 20 miles away traveling dirt roads. I was quite distressed karen was completely rude and unhelpful. The only reason i came to Fox was because the service mgr, Anthony Iafrate, is a extraordinarily kind and honest man. Turns out he left Fox a week ago. It sure shows. Karen is a nightmare as far as service goes. Im not sure how safe to drive a vehicle where 2 of the 3 gas tank support straps are broken is. I was going to rent a car to drive home, i needed proof of insurance. I had an expired copy and another one that had my info on one side and my husbands on the other. Karen told me she couldnt use it. It was for wrong car. I didnt realize my info was on flip side so i ruled out renting a car to get home. I was so upset i told Karen i felt like crying, wherein she cruelly retorted that she didnt know why, we didnt do anything to cause this problem.. If this rude behavior is extended to all your customers, im truly surprised you have any. I only wish i knew where Anthony went.
