When I started shopping for an engagement ring, I had been looking around for "the one". The first ring I bought, I ended up buying a ring from a different store. About a month after buying the ring, we had to return it to be fixed multiple times. After spending the money I had on this ring, I was less than pleased with the customer service, and asked for a refund and was denied. The same day I was denied a refund for a ring that was of low quality, I decided to visit Jared in Portage. It had just opened, and I was hoping they could help me find a ring that would be of great quality, treat me as if I was their only customer, and make me feel comfortable when making a purchase that is supposed to be a great memory. As I proceeded to walk through the doors of Jared, I was full of negative emotion after being treated wrongly, and not being taken care of. As soon as I walked through the doors at Jared, I was instantly greeted by a a very smiley, friendly gentleman. This made all of the negative emotion go away. From there I was introduced to a store manager, and sales woman. As I sat down, the manager could clearly tell I had something on my mind. She kindly started asking questions about what I was looking for, and from there we talked about everything that happened in my previous experience with buying a ring. I felt instantly relieved, and knew I was in the right place. As the conversation went on, we found the perfect ring setting, as well as a diamond that fit everything I was looking for as well as what would fit in my budget. By this time, I had been approached by another store manager, and between the 3 of them, I felt as if I had made instant friends. I left there with a gorgeous ring that my fiance absolutely loved. We recently re-visited Jared this past Saturday to buy our wedding bands. As soon as we walked into the store, the same 3 employees greeted us, as if we had been friends for 5 years. They knew our names, they knew our history, and knew we were in search of 2 wedding bands. We found the first with ease, the second was a little trickier. We informed Kate, our sales woman, Nancy, the store manager, and Josh, the other store manager what exactly we were looking for. The first ring we picked out was everything we wanted, but was very expensive and out of our budget. Nancy, Josh, and Kate did not let that stop them. They creatively came up with an option for us to custom design our second wedding band, so it had everything I wanted, and fit our budget, once again taking our best interest to heart. They could have very easily just sold us something that we did not feel comfortable buying and went on their merry way, but they went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and comfortable with our purchase. My fiance and I will only shop at Jared. We cannot thank Nancy, Josh, and Kate enough for helping us find the engagement ring, both of our wedding bands, as well as treating us as if we were the only customers in the store every time we have visited, even if it was for just a cleaning. My fiancé got my gorgeous engagement ring from here. I love it, beyond words. We have been engaged for a while, and we began to look at bands recently. When we inquired about one in particular, we were interested in buying it. Our wedding is in May so we still have some time, however the sales lady told us that even if we used our Jared Card that we would have to put cash down. She told us that we could not add it to what we already pay on the engagement ring, that it would be a separate bill. This put us back, and we decided to hold off and not buy a band. Well this past weekend, I went to Tanger Outlets and went to the Jared Vault to get my ring cleaned. I saw a band that I LOVED and it complimented my engagement ring beautifully. It was literally so amazing how well a band matched my custom designed ring. I inquired about it, and informed them what I was told in the portage location. They were very confused and told me that it is not true. They also told me my monthly payment is not going to go up, just the amount of time to pay it off will increase. You better believe that I bought the band there, and I cant explain my gratitude to that store. I went in the day after purchasing back to the portage location, because they size in store. I wanted to get it sized, and they couldnt find my purchase. It took a while, but they ended up finding it. She told me not to size it, and to wait. I didnt want to argue, so I left. They also went from smiles to a serious look when I told them I bought it at the vault. I understand that it wasnt your store, but it isnt like I went to a competitor. I have always felt like I was being watched like a hawk in the portage location, I even went in for a cleaning and walked out with a credit card once. That day the sales rep was taking my info then said well good news is that you are qualified, and I was like..oh ok? and that was that. I will say that the service here is good, but there are inconsistencies between the stores that can easily frustrate your customers.

Terrible service. On my engagement ring, on the inside of the band, I have my husbands and my birthstones with the date we started dating. Went to get it cleaned and a stone fell out. They put it back it right then, but the lady who did it did a very sloppy job! I was NOT happy. Sides of where the gem goes was chipped. Just recently I went to go get my rings re-sized and both birthstones and the inscription was gone!! Do they not inspect the rings before and after!?!? Never again going the the Jareds on Westnedge in Kalamazoo.

Got My Fiances Ring Here! Knew nothing about wedding rings and they explained everything to me! Abby was the one that primarily helped me out and was great! After i gave her the ring we went into the store to get it sized and we were in and out in one hour!
