I agreed to buy a car from Adam (the son) and we had agreed I would come in on a Wednesday to pay for it and pick it up. Adam had told me I was alright not sending in some sort of deposit, as I was planning on coming in before the deposit would have arrived by mail. Tuesday night, Adams dad, Art (who has the final say in everything) called and said that the price Adam and I had agreed to was no longer valid, as he had offered the car for sale to someone else who was willing to pay more. Rather than honor the word of his son, Art demanded I pay more. As my wife was days away from having a child and we had run out of time to look, I came in in the morning to pick up the car. It was not cleaned as promised, and several of the things I was promised would be done to it were not done. As I had driven an hour to pick it up, I left with the dirty and smelly car, having overpaid for it, and having a very sour taste in my mouth (both from the shadiness of the dealing, and the smell of cigarette smoke that lingered in the car that Adam said they could get out). In the end, anything Adam promises or says can (and will, if it means more money or less work for them) be overridden by his father. Art said over the phone that "there is no oral contract". That may be the case legally, but for some people, an oral contract is a promise, and promises are kept as a matter of integrity. Not for those at Jim Douglas Auto Sales.

I just purchased a 2006 Jeep liberty from Jim Douglas Auto Sales. The Jeep was very clean. After I had purchased it. I discovered there was one wheel lug missing on each wheel. Buying the Jeep as is. I didnt know what to expect. When I called and told them about it. They said just go get the lugs. And we will pay you what ever the cost was. Had to go pick up my plates. At the same time. They payed me for the lugs. No problem. Very friendly service so far. I would highly recommend Jim Douglas Auto Sales. As a great place to start looking for a nice clean used car. All their autos looked very clean, and free of rust. Which was very important to me. Thanks for a great buying experience!

Not only did I sell my vehicle to Art and Adam, I decided to purchase my next car from them as well!!! I had decided to sell my 2008 Dodge ram 1500 to them because they offered me a fair cash up front price with no hassle. I needed a new car that had better gas mileage than my truck of course, so I went shopping with my new check in hand. Went back twice and they say they dont hear anything got a second opinion and still didnt get them worked on. I am going back for the third time but I am going to ride with them this time.
