Ive purchased two guns at Huron Valley and sold one to them over the course of the past 15 months. Let me start by saying Im a young (22) male. Unfortunately this means that for some reason I get poor customer service at about every gun store I go to in South Eastern Michigan. So it was a nice surprise when I walked into Huron Valley and got treated just like anyother normal customer. No age discrimination experienced; which really is a huge problem in this market. However, this only covers most of their workers. Ive encountered one that insisted on being rude and talked down to me. Basically tried to coax me into buying a more expensive gun becuase "i didnt know what i really wanted". Their older crew is all great guys. Great to talk to, great to interact with and are real enthusiasts; not just business men. Ive overpaid for guns and Ill do it again if they continue to treat me the way they do. Selection of new guns was good, not great. Good selection of handguns. I dont know how they can not have more than 2-3 Savage and Remington rifles combined for ~5 months. But again, that same rude man told me that so maybe that was part of his spiel to try and get me to purchase a more expensive gun. Their used long gun selection isnt that large either but they almost always seem to have something really cool that you cant find everywhere and I really appreciate that. They have a good selection of common accessories; pretty much all they can do for the size store they are. Primers, bullets, loaded ammo, holsters, magazines, etc. I find myself stopping in every month or so to check out what they have. I try to support them whenever I can. That being said, if that one worker I dont like is in the store I just turn around and walk out.

Took my sister in today to purchase her first handgun. I am a firearms enthusiast and have a great amount of knowledge on firearms, and did the best i could with recommendations before we entered the store today. We were immediatly greeted by the store owner and one of his employees, Ryan. I have delt with Ryan before in purchasing firearms for myself, or even just swapping stories. I had explaned to Ryan that i was bringing my sister in for her first purchase. He didnt let me explain any further and completly took the lead on the situation. He spent over an hour showing and explaining many different firearm types and brands to my sister. He explained in great detail how each would work and gave a couple recommendations. When she entered the store she was a little nervous (as many are for their first time) He made her feel completly comfortable and confident in what she was doing. She ended up purchasing a glock. I cannot explain or stress enough how helpful he was nor how much i appreciate his help. Often an outsider like Ryan can explain things better then a family member can, and he did. Ryan did ABOVE AND BEYOND what i feel he is required to do for his job. Thanks Ryan and Huron Valley Guns.

Called in to the shop for some handgun prices, but the gentleman I spoke with said they do not give quotes over the phone. He told me to call around and look online for prices, and that they will match any that I find. My brother and I went in with cash to buy a S&W and a Glock, picked out what we wanted, showed the guy who was helping us the ads online, and all was good to go. He had to get approval from the owner who was not working that day, and came back a couple minutes later saying that the owner would not price match. The guy we worked with was very helpful, polite, and knowledgeable, but with their ridiculous prices (over MSRP), not quoting anything over the phone, then refusing to do what they said they would, we will no longer be going back.

Amazing selection!!! You name it they have it, new, used, collectibles, and a well stocked full selection of ammo. Ive been to dozens of gun shops, and Huron Valley is top notch with friendly knowledgeable staff. Next year the shop moves to its new location and will become one of the great lakes regions BIGGEST and BEST complete with a gun club and full indoor range (see the info on the web). Quit wasting your time on the big box store crap and go see this place... Its worth the trip from anywhere in Michigan! JR

First time visiting this store and boy am I glad I did! Excellent selection. Sales staff is very knowledgeable and they were willing to take the time to answer all of my questions. I have been to quite a few gun stores in metro Detroit and most of them have salesman who cop an attitude with you, not this store. I will recommend that store to everyone I know who enjoys guns. Thank you very much Huron Valley Guns!

Ill be flat out honest, your store rocks except for one huge flipping issue. Telling me that you cant give me a price over the phone for a rifle is ridiculous, I live an hour away, telling me on the phone that I have to make the drive just for a price is the most ignorant thing Ive heard. I shouldnt have to drive an hour each way just to see what price you want for a gun, your store has a phone for a reason.

They do NOT price match. I called and was told they price match. Drive all the way there and then bam- 300.00 over other nearby retailers for an xdm. Then i was informed that the "kit" ( case, 2 clips and holster) was an extra 140.00! That stuff is included with every new xdm. 5 something at guns galore 850.00 before tax at huron valley guns. I dont think so.

Nicest staff ever for a gun store. Seriously, these guys will bs with you all day if u just wanna chat or have questions. Shop the prices tho. Keltec shotgun was about 200 bucks less at double action in madison hts. Also, colt m4 model 6920. About 200 bucks more than most retailers.. just saying.

The people working behind the counters at this store actually have smiles on their faces, what a concept ! The staff is friendly and informative and they seem to actually value their customers. I cant say that about any other gun store Ive been to. Great job guys, I highly recommend this place.

By far my favorite store. Great variety. Ask for Danny ( pink cobra) or any of their knowledgeable staff and they will get you the answers to all of your gun related questions. Priced better than the big box stores (Cabelas) and will price match.

Prices are very high, and whenever I go in there they all eyeball me like I dont belong or they expect me to steal something. They never say anything (at all), but it makes me feel uncomfortable. Pretty odd considering Im a stereotypical gun nut.

One of the best customer service experiences Ive had in any gun store. They are friendly and willing to take time with their customers. I would recommend anyone to go there but especially those who have had bad experiences elsewhere.

Best customer service you can ask for. Took my gun in for repairs, and needing it back asap, for opening day. Their gunsmith started working on it immediately and told me it would be done in a few hours. I couldnt be happier.
