I was looking for a Franchi Affinity Compact 20 gauge for my son. I called the Toledo store and was told they had one in Stock and they price match. So I get there and find out they do not price match if it is not in stock at another seller. So the sales associate works a deal to give me the shotgun for bass pro shops listed price if i buy a case of ammo. He charged me 35 dollars more than he told me he would.... I also notice the shotgun did not have the shim spacer kit and would not accept them. The sales associate assured me it was indeed the compact model and some have shims to lengthen and shorten the stock and some do not. When I got home I discovered it was a 14" butt stock a full size model not the compact, so he didnt price match something that was in stock at another business, over charged me, and was giving me the wrong info on the gun being the compact model. The gun box had no spacers to change the cant and angle of the stock, no choke tubes, and no choke tube wrench. I called and was told that they only come with one choke tube but they did find a choke tube wrench in the back of the store. I researched Franchis website and found out they come with 3 choke tubes, the spacers to change the cant and angle of the stock, and a choke tube wrench. So when I arrive tonight it was a different sales associate and he walked out with a box that he had found with 3 choke tubes, the spacers for the stock, and a choke tube wrench. If he could walk back there and find them why couldnt anyone else? I will never buy another firearm from Gander Mountain again. They are uninformed of the firearms they sell, and in my opinion shady. Updated- The Hardlines Sales Manager Mr. Ricard went beyond the extra mile to make things right. My son is very pleased to have the compact stock!

I purchased a Diamond Infinite Edge right handed bow for my ole ladys granddaughter in July of 2015. The granddaughter got moved into my house and we were able to get back to the store on Oct. 3rd to get the bow set up for her (draw weight, draw length, etc). They wanted to charge me for that service. Got the bow set up and got to Clelands for a youth archery instruction class on Tues. Oct. 14th. We found out that night that the granddaughter is left eye dominant. Wanted to exchange the bow for a left handed model of the same make and model. I was told that wouldnt happen because Gander Mountain Holland Store didnt know how many times the bow had been fired or if it had been dry fired. I was and still am pissed. I spent almost $300 on a bow that was shot two times at the archery clinic, and I am sure Gander Mountain had $100 in, and they wont exchange it for a left handed model. I spent a couple thousand dollars at Gander Mountain in 2015 and that is how they treat me....NEVER AGAIN....I AM TAKING MY MONEY AND BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!!!!!! Went to Clelands youth archery instructions on Oct. 16th and bought the granddaughter a left handed Mathews Mission. No charge for setting it up. Thank You Clelands and Theresa Cleland for all your help and expertise. Gander Mountain.............you get the idea......CUSTOMER SATISFACTION SHOULD ALWAYS BE NUMBER ONE! I am not a liar and you lost a good customer. Hopefully you will miss my money, but I doubt it.

I just thought picked up a shotgun I had cerkote done on. I was told they would wave the shipping cost since the person picking it up was coming in the night I dropped it off. When I picked the gun up today no one in the store knew it was waived. This lack of communication is unexceptable. I would highly recommend using a local gun smith. The gentlemen who also helped me honstly seemed like he didnt want to hear my side of the story or cared. The work was decent on the gun some small imperfections in the receiver but its a turkey gun. Well.u can see they messaged me on here and I emailed the person who responded to my review ( clinton ) on here and explained the situation. Once again nothing happened. They never even returned me email. This goes back to why I will never shop there again.

I spent approximately 800$ buying two guns online, delivered to this location. Being in a border region it seems like a Michigan CDL license wouldnt be the craziest thing theyd ever seen. Apparently it was. I called in advance to verify required documents. I brought those. After being ignored and shuffled from staff to staff, a call to corporate from the less than enthusiastic manager. I was cleared to fill out paperwork that should have Been handled while I waited three days shipping. I was curtly informed that the fbi has a "hold" on my purchase. Pre paid mind you... and i can return in a week... 1 hr drive... no apologies. No good explanation. Horrible customer service. I left there down 800$ no guns and feeling like a criminal.

Well, this place is pretty much just a massive gun store with some outdoor stuff and some clothing now. Not complaining just defiantly not what it use to be 5 years ago. I used this location as an FFL once. WAY to expensive compared to other local options, but it was fast and convenient since all the other accessories and reloading supplies are in the same place. I didnt have an issue when asking to look at a gun i wanted to buy, but thats because i spoke up and got the kids attention who just kept walk between the 3 people looking in the cases. Suggestion for the employees here: PAY ATTENTION and ask if people need help with anything. Other than that I can go past 3 stars because its a typical "outdoor/gun chain store"

its a good bit better than bass pro or cabelas bass pro ignores you when you gotta question cabelas lies to you about orders you place on hold and sells out guns to the first person that enters the store when there only allowed to sell you 3 at a time (ruger 10/22s multiple times) i saw one older gentle man with at least 10 rifles. when i have to drive an hour and a half up there from ohio i was not a happy camper one bit. you dont get that with gander they always got time for you and if they dont know something they dont lie 2 your face about it. only 4 stars cause it takes almost an hour 2 get there has nothing 2 do about the problems i mentioned above with the others.
