I wanted to give them one star because the people were so rude, but the coffee was too dang good. We walked in and a guy and girl were playing cribbage. He shoved back in his chair and said, "Every damn time!" He got up and took our coffee order and she helped make it with eye rolling and glares. Tried visiting with them but they clearly wanted us gone. So the service was the rudest Ive ever experienced, but the coffee was amazing. Fair enough?

Take it from a coffee snob...They have awesome fresh coffee. Theo knows how to roast his beans..and roasts to perfection. They use all fresh ingredients, everything is home made even the whip cream and vanilla for the lattes, The atmosphere is perfect..I just wish they were open more and all eve!! This is A must stop!!

Best coffee Ive every had. I moved to Portland, OR and I miss this stuff. Theo has years of roasting experience under his belt. Coffee has a tendency toward the mocha side of the things, but there are much more subtle flavors than in the other simplistic cups I have had lately. Enjoy!

Best coffee I could find in the Upper Peninsula! On a recent vacation to the area, I was worried about finding any coffee places at all. Came across this gem after a Google search and so glad I did! Made a visit every day of the vacation. Well Done! The lattes are wonderful.

Dead River coffee epitomizes what a real coffee shop should look and feel like. They go the extra mile to make sure you are getting fresh delicious coffee. I cannot recommend this place enough. I live in PA and I still order coffee from there from time to time.

They know how to pull a great espresso shot! Also, Id highly recommend their chai latte. Its a very original taste... not too sweet, not too bland... perfect! Staff are original, and not cheeky like Starbucks-- which I like.

The coffees here are DIVINE. The owner knows what hes doing, I havent been disappointed. The staff is always friendly, the atmosphere is nice, and the prices are great for how super the coffee is.
