My parents and I used to patronize this shop when I was a baby in downtown Kalamazoo. D&W has really become more interesting over time. Sometimes I like to buy fresh oysters from the seafood department in the Parkview Avenue location. Also, I like to buy fresh produce and the occasional freshly-squeezed orange juice. I like to buy some of their upscale cuts of pork and beef as well. Sometimes, the delicatessen associates have samples of a particular type of meat or seafood to taste. That is definitely a plus. Pay attention to the weekly ads for competitive deals on groceries and various other items at D&W. You will be glad to have shopped here like I am.

Much more manageable shopping experience than, say, Meijer or Hardings. Theyre almost certain to have what you need. Easy to get in and out. Affordable. The deli counter is annoying in that they say theyre open until 9pm, but theyre always closed before that, and they really want to show you the meat theyre slicing, which makes the orders take forever, and they dont bother to write down what youre ordering, so if youre ordering more than a couple of things in separate quantities, theres an excellent chance theyll get it wrong. But thats a lot of words to make a minor complaint. You could do a lot worse for a local grocery.

Small grocery store with Starbucks, deli, and decent sushi inside. 6am to midnight hours are very convenient. Usually a faster trip than Meijer, except weekday afternoons and weekends when lines are long. There are quite a few cashiers that seem unhappy to be there, which can make for an awkward shopping experience. Baggers have always been really friendly to me.

These people at this store look at us as if we are like, outsiders or something. The stares are outlandish. Like i understand an occasional glance, but these people just dead staaaare... unreasonable prices for small portions you can get cheaper. I only go to this store because it is the closest. If there were a closer store, id go there..

Smaller foot print store but with a good selection and carry out service available! Great deals with the YES card loyalty program which has a free item each week and other perks like the Baby and Pet clubs where you can get a gift card after so much is spent. Love the fresh produce, meat, deli, cheese, wine, and bakery sections.

I rarely buy all of my groceries here because they are obviously more expensive than several other options in town but D&W does a great job stocking a wide veriety of products, so they almost always have something that works for what I need. Their stores are conveniently located,and product quality is better than most.

A local food store that has some surprising selections. Equipped with a Starbucks, sushi bar, and fantastic deli counter, D&W can definitely supply whatever youre looking for. They make a good selection of fresh meats and seafood too. The produce section, while small, is certainly very good quality.

does NOT carry floatation devices in the store dispite a public lake just around the corner. also the upper management are very rude and i dont even work there, i just called as a customer. whoever that lady was she sounded very snotty. im assuming she was manager

My friend Caralyn was treated very badly when purchasing items on tax exempt for her non-profit employer. Employees really need more training on customer service and how to ring up tax exempt items before they are out on the floor as cashiers.

Nice smaller grocery store. Friendly staff and clean store. They have a pretty good craft beer selection. My only complaint is the produce isnt always the very best but it is not bad at all.

Excellent specialty foods, generally higher quality than some other stores. My absolute favorite is their sashimi grade swordfish steaks. An inch or so thick and outstanding on the grill!
