Rude and horrible service. I ordered a smoothie with boba pearls. As I am called to get my order, I tell the barista nicely what my order was originally and she admits to reading it wrong...And as soon as she realizes this she hands my messed up order to another girl standing right next to me. That is the worst customer service act you can do. The girl next to me looked at me and simply took the drink with no questions asked. I was literally speechless at why the barista would think its okay to offer someone else my order that she messed up on. Im still at disbelief that this happened. Cafe Rhema, please teach your employees customer service. And by the way if a customer comes in showing coupons published on your website, even if outdated you should honor them as good customer service. My friend and I came in showing coupons that were posted on their site that same day and after the sales person pointed out the date, we felt foolish and apologized and he replied "thought so"...Im telling my peers at the school how inconsiderate this establishment can be. Definitely not thinking about going again.

Came here for an afternoon lunch. Cute restaurant/coffee shop with a chill, speak easy vibe from the 1920s era. Very classy place to hang out at with friends. Its a clean restaurant with British drawing room type furniture, so one of the chairs was a little springy. Service was a little slow but it could be due to all the customers ordering lunch items. The egg sandwich and walnut chocolate chip Belgian waffles were delicious. Loved the way the tea was served in your own individual carafe. Really allowed you to sit there and enjoy your tea. They have a solid menu of drinks and food items. For drinks, they have the espresso beverages, coffees and teas, but they Eden have boba, Italian and French soda, smoothies, and fancy bottled sodas. You could even get Shakeology here if you wanted a healthy lunch, or get soup or any of the sandwiches. Would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area.

One of the best places to go get your coffee!A hidden gem in downtown Flint. It is a beautiful 20s themed restaurant that serves delicious food ,tea, and coffees. The restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere and all of the workers there are amazing ,God loving people who truly care about their customers ,and they show it . I would not be surviving college if it wasnt for going to get my coffee at Rhema and the short but meaningful talks with the baristas that are working. Its also great place to unwind and even get some homework done , especially great for college students. Highly Recommend this place .

Nice cozy place, nice decor with very inviting environment to hang out with friends and relax. I like their mango bubble tea and I also like their sandwiches. The price of the sandwiches may seem too expensive at first, but you will know it is totally worth it based on what you pay. Their portion size is huge and are served with chips on the side. However, I gave only 4 star because their chai tea latte & hot chocolate ( I havent tried their all other hot beverages yet) was not warm enough. You can literally drink a whole cup in no time and are cold. I wish they serve it little warm or hot.

Cafe Rhema is everything I look for in a Coffee shop. It has great coffee, interesting decorations, friendly and helpful staff, simple but high quality food items, and a space for live music. Its close to U of M - Flint, and attracts a college crowd (both students and instructors). Theres close parking, both on the streets and the "flat lot" in downtown Flint. The owner is christian, so there are some religious aspects you may notice if you look for them (a prayer box on the counter, bible studies in the back room), but no one will bring it up if you dont ask.

Great place to chill in the wicked summer heat or warm up in the summer. Ive been going here weekly for the last few years while working on my info systems degree. If there was a single thing about this place that sold me on it was their charm and atmosphere. The classic tunes pouring from the speakers and the sharply dressed lads working on the counter make up for the sometimes long waits (theyre frequently very busy given their location downtown). The quality of their food is superb and only pales in comparison to their beverages.

I absolutely love the ambiance of Cafe Rhema. The Cafe is filled with antique furniture, chandeliers, and unique digitally colorized photos from the 1920s. Its a great spot to spend a lazy afternoon, study or meet up with friends. I really like how the furniture is laid out in little separate areas to be like separate "rooms" for conversations or meetings. Not too mention you cant beat the prices and the coffee is excellent as well as the food and the service. Its like my home away from home. :) P.S. I love the name!

Monday night was my first time at Cafe Rhema. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. I received wonderful service from the staff, and met many awesome people. Not only is the atmosphere very cozy, I was able to give God praise at the end of my study session. I came in on the day they were having praise and worship in the back. It was very Refreshing :)....plus I received great coffee, I would recommend it to anyone, its just an all around fantastic place to come relax, think, and converse.

Purchased a selection of beverages for the office - couldnt taste the flavor of the caramel (which is odd since Ghirardelli is quite thick and rich) - dont be so shy with the flavoring. If I would have realized it was that lightly sweetened I could have added sugar myself and saved the extra money. My first visit, though. Not sure if this is the consistent quality or not. The espresso tasted wonderful. Lack of flavoring was the only issue. The ambience in the shop is amazing!

Tranquility; a chandelier lit poetic decor, delightful french sodas, and a royal coffee will make your day when you visit Cafe Rhema, and the pleasant staff will do everything to add to your good mood. Whether youre looking for a local get-away to study, a meet up with friends or a date, or just a modest retreat for you and your book and cup of coffee you have found it here. The only place in Flint that offers bubble tea. Should I also mention that nothing is expensive?

The food is excellent. It is wholesome and filling, and well rounded. The coffee is good and they serve it in ceramic (something I love) or to-go cups. The café and food is so aesthetically pleasing I dare you not to post a picture. The music is relaxing and contributes well to the atmosphere. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone. There is a lot of different types of seating and tables so it is a place for any occasion.

Smoothies are decent (its not really a smoothie place either lol). I bought a poppie seed muffin, Ultimate Bagel, and a smoothie (dont remember what flavor I picked). The Ultimate Bagel was no joke the best bagel I have ever had in my entire life. Not even a question. Its perfection. People should come from the ends of the earth to eat this bagel. Only a buck too. Like 2 bucks or so with cream cheese.
