Not out of the car 30 seconds and I was ready to leave. We are shopping for a USED Jeep Cherokee, and decided to stop here. I have stopped here in the past over the years looking for different vehicles and it seems like nothing ever changes at this place. I always try to give the benefit of the doubt and try again since dealerships can change but these guys are stuck in the before pre educated/informed car buyer days. The salesman comes out, asks if we need help, and I tell him exactly what we are looking for. Then I get the "Well for a little bit more you can buy a new one!" What part of we want to buy USED dont you people understand?? We have a budget, we know what we want, you either have cars here that fit that or not.. We were actually standing right in front of a used one, and he proceeded to walk us around the lot looking at used Grand Cherokees, and Patriots, and Compasses.. How about the regular Cherokee we were standing by? Silence.... "Yeah looks like we dont have anything, BUT you really should consider buying new" Strike 2... I know you make more money on new vehicles pal, and thats why dealerships jack up the used car prices to get people to just buy a new one, but Id rather save money on a payment and insurance and buy a used one. More and more people are going this route because they are tired of new prices being ridiculous. These car companies are smoking dope.. Not everyone wants a car payment the size of a small rent. Our budget is our budget end of story.. Then theres the classic "What are you looking at for a monthly payment? I bet we could get you into a new one for what youre looking at" And I bet the only way you could do that is to re-write the laws of mathematics Einstein... Not happening. People do their homework today and these old school BS sales tactics just insult peoples intelligence. My girlfriend, being the sweet person she is said, "maybe we will come back when you have some in stock. Do you have a business card?" You might think she asked him to receive a swift kick to the genitals, as he looked at us with a twisted look on his face. "ohh, uhhh gee, well I dont have anything on me and Id have to walk ALL THE WAY BACK INSIDE to get one. (Translated - Follow me inside, and suddenly "my manager" will appear and the games will continue. I said "WE ARE ALL SET, THANKS FOR YOUR TIME" even as we walked away, he tried one more time to mention buying a new vehicle.. "Yeah, nothing used here that youre looking for, (as hes standing by a used one we are looking for) but I can get you into a new one!" Down the road we went, I think thats the last time Ill ever set foot in that lot. It just never changes. So many modern thinking dealerships out there, that if you come in armed with information you can actually a get the car you really want vs the car they just want to sell you to make as much money off you as possible.

"Anywhere But Here!" - Derick Ferreira Pros: Dealing with both Bob Slopak and service advisor Matthew Houghton., both GREAT people whom value the customer! CONS: FINANCE DEPT - Changed financing bank from an already approved bank local to me to another NOT local. Im sure offered better dealer kickback. There reasoning was because the second bank offers online services to the customer. What an insult to think I would buy this excuse. Then the kicker to not recognize my Common Law Marriage on my wife gifting her trade to myself purchasing her a new vehicle, although recognized in my own state. The result was a loss of $200. tax credit. SERVICE MANAGER (Ron Letourneau) - Although the vehicle was new the rotors were rust pitted requiring replacement. When I picked up the vehicle I had noticed a defective rotor being it had a large deep score mark. Ron attempted to assure me the defect or damage would not affect the performance of the brake rotor. Unknown to him I have repaired many of vehicles over my lifetime and well aware a smooth rotor surface was imperative. Once convinced to replace the defective part I shared my disappointment from the very beginning of purchase. His reply was the front staff have nothing to do with his service dept. I myself work for a top 100 company and know for certainty that EVERY member of EVERY department is in whole a team achieving one primary goal. Customer Satisfaction! In my opinion its service advisor Matthew Houghton whom should be the service manager. Final Thoughts: Although I will NOT recommend any friends or family EVER purchase from this dealership, I will however consider any further service needed based solely on my interactions with Matthew. Unfortunately only One star ALL around because of one dept and another depts manager reflected badly on the entire company in whole.

THIS IS WHAT I HAD TO WRITE AS A CONDITION OF MY EMPLOYMENT AT SOMERSET SUBARU AND CHRYSLER JEEP. I WAS LET GO ANYWAY. THE BELOW REVIEW WAS CREATED BY CHRISTOPHER BATY INTERNET MANAGER AT SOMERSET. I DO NOT WISH TO DISPARAGE THEM. I JUST CANNOT ERASE THIS REVIEW AND HAVE NO NEED TO PLAY BALL ANY FURTHER FOR A CHECK. TOUGH TO MAKE A CHECK THESE DAYS. WHEN YOU ARE ON THE BOTTOM, YOU DELIGHT THE BOTTOM FEEDERS SO.I WILL NOT ASSIST THEM IN MISLEADING CUSTOMERS.>>>>FAKE>>> I was in the market for a vehicle and was looking for something with GREAT GAS MILAGE and a friend recommended that I also look at AWD vehicles! He mentioned that I drive to Somerset wich is only 15 minutes away from New Bedford to look at a dealership Somerset Auto Group wich is were he purchased his new 2012 Jeep Wrangler Sport. So I did. The moment I got out of my vehicle and went in the building the it was like nothing I had ever experienced before! I was greeted by a very nice salesperson Doug Philcox who took the time to LISTEN to my needs and showed me a few different vehicles. I am now the proud owner of a Subaru Impreza AWD. I want to let everyone know, Somerset Auto Group took the time from sales to finance and the delivery to make sure I was a happy satisfied customer!!! I will recommend this dealer to all my freinds and family! Thank you Doug and Somerset Auto Group! << GM

I went to look at a used Jeep that they had just got in on a Friday, and it had not been inspected or reconditioned yet. We liked the vehicle, but the salesman Jeff told me to come back the next day to look at it when it was cleaned up. The next day Jeff told me that it wasnt done yet, and that it would be ready on Monday....and that he would call me first thing on Monday. I never received a call from Jeff on Monday so I called him, and left him a message on his voice mail that day. I called fairly early so I expected to get a call before they closed. I finally got a call from Jeff on Wednesday.... but I couldnt get to the phone . He said he was off for a few days and just noticed my voice mail. I called him again and left another message. On Thursday I called him again, and left another message. I called again a few hours later and I finally spoke with him. He said sorry....we sold it yesterday. I wanted to leave a deposit on it Friday, but he wouldnt take it because it wasnt ready. Being very upset I called back and spoke to the sales manager Lou......no apologies...nothing...his reply we are in the business to sell cars. I understand that....but really...is that how you do business. Maybe I am better off. I do not recommend them...but if you go I hope that you have better luck than I did.
