a complete joke. the worse deli ever. do they train there deli people at all. genoa or hard salami they have no idea or they dont care.it seems if it says salami thats good enough for them slice away. you ask for hard and they give you genoa. 6 out of 10 times my order is wrong. its become so bad i just cant shop there anymore. the final straw came when i asked for the fresh store made eggplant and i was brought to the freezer. incredible they dont even know what they sell. better start training your people theres no way this is only happening to me and im done with your incompetent store. wait i almost forgot this one i wanted hamburger there was none so the meat guy brings out this mess called chub cut in half and placed on the white styrofome clearly just taken out of that prepackaged tube stuff and tells me o this is how it all comes. what! are you crazy your telling me this is fresh hamburge and he says yes. all i could do was hang my head and walk away. yes another untrained MB employee with no idea what hes selling.

This is the best grocery store around. They sell all of the top brand products for a fraction of the price as other stores. Dont bother comparing grocery store flyer sales anymore! Other stores sale prices are still not as good as Market Baskets regular prices. Bananas 49 cents a pound. A bag of potatoes for $2.99. A bag of apples for $3.99. Chobani yogurts 5/$5. The same tub of JIF peanut butter I buy for $5.99 at Market Basket is $7.99 at Big Y. I feed my family of 6 plus all of the children I serve in my child care business for $300 a week. The same items would easily cost me $450+ at another leading grocery store. Clean, organized, helpful staff. Long lines on the weekends and long deli lines. Fresh produce! Ill never shop anywhere else. Thank you, Market Basket! You make feeding our big family possible in todays ridiculously overpriced economy.

I am really happy to have a Market Basket in the area, I travel from Worcester to do our main shopping there. I wanted to get in touch with the manager of the meat dept. but it is after hours and no way to e-mail him. I typically like there meat dept as supermarkets go but,,,,, On Thursday 6/27/13 I purchased 3 Rib Eye Steaks which were on sale for $6.00/lb. I carefully chose my steaks. 2 for $13.00 and a 3rd @ $5.45. We did them on a hot grill at room temperature and cooked to medium-rare. They were awful. They were so tough we could not chew plus they did not have the texture or taste of a rib eye?? We were very disappointed as I do not splurge on rib eyes very often. We threw out the receipt (and 1/2 of steak, although I dont know what they could have done, Did anyone else experience this. I truely do not believe they ere Rib Eyes as sold.

Weve been getting the Market Basket flyers for months now here in Uxbridge. Finally we decided to go for it after seeing the prices for seafood were markedly cheaper. The prices on frozen stuff and dry goods seemed to be a bit cheaper too. But if you look a little closer, youll see where the savings come from. Everything house brand is cheaper since its slightly smaller in size than the other brands. Produce was average. I was disappointed to see nothing but bagged apples. None of the house brand stuff is that great either, even the potato chips had a school-lunch taste to them. Its cold in there too. Maybe if it were closer we would shop there for meat and seafood, but I dont think well return.

When Market Basket first opened in Oxford MA, I was thrilled. Heard such great things. Im not so thrilled now. I am not so thrilled now. Every since the fight between the cousins, the Oxford Market Basket in Oxford MAhas gone down hill. Every time I go there seem to be more and more empty shelves. Im not sure if they are fazing out these items, if they are no longer going to carry them or if the person in charge of ordering is incompetent. They are often out of items for weeks, sometimes months. It almost like shopping at Walmart. I am seriously thinking of skipping MB altogether from now on and shop at Wegmans.

I am normally very happy with the other Market Baskets I go to, I just happened to be in the area of this store. They had nothing decent at the fish counter that wasnt thawed out or farm raised so I figured I would grab some chicken breast, nope. Another customer was looking for the same thing, she rang the bell, the guy took his time to come out only to tell her that what they had out there was what they had. The guy was rude to her. No Fish! No Chicken! Rude people, I had to go to another store.

This is my favorite Market Basket. I usually shop in the evening, so I cant tell you whether it is crowded, but I bet it is. Usually decent level of stock, I average 1 out-of-stock sale item on my shopping list. Sometimes the produce is low at the end of the day, sometimes meat too. At 85,000 sq ft, faster to shop than Burlington or Chelsea. Bake shop usually has all the sale merchandise. Staff is friendly, helpful, speak English, and dont hustle you out at 9:01 PM.

Why didnt I shop here before?! Best prices Ive ever seen in a super market coupled with friendly people and a clean building. Stop by the kitchen and get a sandwich or pizza or chicken wings and theyll make it for you right then and there. Add in the bakery right next to the kitchen and youve got a winning combo. Unfortunately everyone in town shops here so expect it to be busy but dont worry about checkout, lanes are always open and they get you out as fast as possible.

Great store. Also shop in the NH store. I am surprised they do not sell Angel food cake mix in the Oxford store. Also floor wax such as mop and glo type products. I haven,t had much luck with asking clerks for products. I tend to get the saying it is what it is. A kid in the produce dept hit me with his over filled cart and never apologized. All that being said I do save money. I just compare the 2 stores and think the Oxford store needs employee training.

After a few other places, the wife & I decided this was the best place to shop! Theres always deals on things we like & are usually buying anyway. We can even buy 2 weeks worth of food for about it $70! Meats can isially be found at a deal, too. Clean, always stocked, nice employees. Love their in-store prepared food like the spanicopita & dolmades! Fresh sushi, too! We honestly dont like shopping anywhere else.

Prices are great and I can deal with the mob of people during busy hours. Some of their staff, on the other hand, need to be given more specific direction on how to treat customers! Im tired of going there and not getting so much as a response from a snotty girl when I say hello first! Im not asking for a kidney.... A simple greeting will suffice. Some people do NOT belong in customer service!
