Worst. Walmart. EVER. This place is horrible. Run away! Avoid at all costs. Stopped in to get one item. There were exactly three checkout aisles open, all with very slow, dopey individuals at the registers. All three workers looked slovenly and crazed. They moved in slow motion, oblivious to the fact that there was a long LONG line of people waiting in every line..... and waiting.... and waiting. (They could train chimps to do a better job than the people they had at the registers when I was there. Seriously. It was that bad.) I could tell it would be a half hour wait while the unshaven clerk with the glazed-over, far away look in his eyes, who barely spoke English struggled and struggled in slow motion to check out the big wagon loads ahead of me. Grrrrr. Standing in line at this Walmart is hellish. Like being stuck in a Fellini movie. Time ticks away slowly, and because it is summer and the "air conditioning" at every Walmart is controlled by a computer in Arkansas, (not at the local store), its clammy and uncomfortable. The Walmart Family does not care. You sweat. And wait. And wait. Tick......... tick....... tick... You stand there. And stand there. Nobody cares. Tough luck to you. I gave up and went to see if I could check out with my one item at the "Customer Service" counter. Again, a long,... LONG line of lost souls. Then I noticed a self checkout. But the lady running it was no help. I started to try to talk to her, and she walked away from me mid sentence.... like she was in some sort of a zombie trance. Never said a word... I started to ask her a question... and she just shuffled away. (Maybe the Thorozine was just kicking in?) I found the manager (and of course that entailed waiting and waiting) to tell him of my experience, asking why I would ever come back and not just go to the Target across the street? This place was CRAZY. I felt sorry for the poor guy. He said four people called in that day, so they had no help. I asked him why anyone would want to work in such a hellhole, and he said he was not allowed to agree with me, but of course he did. Imagine trying to hire people to work at place like this, working for such a horrible corporation like Walmart? (Known far and wide for exploiting their workers and not caring about their own employees and even less about their customers.) I could picture him desperately calling up people, knowing they were not really qualified to operate a shopping cart- let alone a cash register, and knowing they wont come to work there anyway, given the low wages. How hopeless that must be. This place is so understaffed that you are guaranteed to stand in a long line and be treated very very poorly. Your time means nothing to Walmart. Walmart clearly hates their customers- and nowhere is this more obvious than at the Northborough, MA store. Walmart is horrible and getting worse by the day- and this store is the worst of the worst. Truly heinous. RUN!

Quick return with receipts. Not so much. As soon as I walk in, Im accosted by someone who should be enrolled in an ESL course, who just really, really, really, NEEEEDS to see every item Im returning to "scan" them (???) Thanks for tying me up for five minutes with this stupidity. NO OTHER WALMART DOES THIS. Then onto the actual return... um yeah, again with receipts. Oh, you want your credit card refunded? Yes, I dont want cash. Ok... I dont know how to do that... Time to bring in Evan, the dingbat department manager, yes, he has a college degree but he works at Walmart. Um, Evan, consider suing your alma mater, as the education provided to you, got you as far as Walmart. Sigh. (Rolls eyes). So, then we cahnt git thera from heea... This simple return has now turned into a process. We NEEEED to void the entire return and do it all over again... just to credit my credit card. OH, MY. Evan can barely see the transaction terminal, as his face is pressed against the screen. Freaking wonderful. Ten minutes later, a simple return is completed. Evan? Seriously, stop pretending youre not an idiot. Its blatant that you are... Im so sorry. Consider becoming a night manager at a Mobil station in the outskirts of Bangor. Avoid this place like the plague if youre doing a return, I was GOING TO shop here, but after this freaking ordeal, I went across the street to Tar-jay, and they got my $150 +/-.

Went to Walmart to replace my propane tank for the grill. Talked to customer service, who were very nice, paid for the tank, and then was told to wait outside and somebody would be right out. Waited for about 20 minutes, while employees would poke their heads outside, see the rain, and then go back in...or light up a smoke and tell me that they cant help. Went back inside, talked to customer service, and went back outside to wait. A little while later, a woman came out and unlocked the propane cage. She looked at me and asked, "Are you here for a tank?" I said that I was. She said, "Oh...um...did you pay." Yes. Yes I did. "Um...we only have one left, and one of the guys inside is having a BBQ tonight, so I told him Id save him one." What? She looked around a little bit, and said, "Oh. Theres another one in the way back! Its your lucky day." She unlocked the cage, and then sat down. I said, "Youre not going to get the tank out, are you?" So, I emptied the propane tank cage to get the one in the way back. As I began walking to the car, she looked at me and said, "Ummm...the empty ones need to go back into the cage." Maybe whoevers throwing the BBQ can put them away. Anyway, that was a couple of months ago and I havent been back. Ive had several similar experiences there with bad service, and so on, that I just cant shop there any more.

Very clean. Thats about all I can say. Seems like all Wal-Marts are going downhill. Went in to grab a couple items, went to cash out and the cashier had nobody in line so I went to her. She was talking to another employee, when I got to the register the other employee left and my cashier seemed put out that I went to her register. I was not greeted at all. After I paid and grabbed my bag she still had said NOTHING. I said "thank you, have a good day" and all I got from her was "yep". Thats inexcusable. Ive worked in customer service for years and thats not how you treat a paying customer. Luckily I am not from around here, but even if I was, I would not return. Target is close by so i would recommend them. Not going to bother contacting walmart about my visit because I have tried contacting walmart about my local store and never got a response. Horrible company all around. You may spend a little more (not much) at Target, but much worth it. Workers are always friendly and very helpful.

Unbelievable! My wife loses her wallet (5 credit cards, cash, license..) (most of us know how stressful this can be) in this Walmart (Northborough) just minutes ago. Not one person in management is willing to help. I wasnt there so I had to speak with my frantic, crying wife over the phone . Who, by the way is scouring the building on her hands and knees with our disabled son (8 years old)...alone. Next step: I call the store and speak with CS first and then, Evan...manger I guess?...who wont help in the least. Evan says "I have the description of the wallet...its a big store." So I ask Evan...can you have someone help her look for it? This is the most critical time as next itll be stolen. Evan "Its a big store I have the description." So ask Evan for his last name in an attempt to resolve this via the chain of command and as a record. Evan: "I cant give you my last name its "Walmart" policy. Really?????Thanks for the help Walmart. SHAME ON!
