This is easily one of the best (if not the best) restaurant on Cape Ann. Its a small restaurant--a little bar, some indoor seating, a porch with some tables as well. The vista is Lobster Cove--marsh, harbor, inlets, and Annisquam. Its really pretty--and if youre there early I recommend a walk about the neighborhood to work up an appetite and see the sweet New England neighborhood. I sat inside and it felt like I was sitting outside--the screened-in porch was beautiful. While we had a designated server, a few different people brought things to the table which was great--you could tell they worked as a team. The concept of the spot is great--keep it simple. Three appetizer options, three entrees, and a few desserts. the menu items change daily based on whats in season--so if youre a picky eater, be careful to check out the menu that day before heading over. Its usually posted on their instagram feed. They also serve beer and wine. I was with two friends, we ordered a bottle of win, three entrees, and split a dessert. I had a poached halibut with shallots, carrots, cabbage, spinach and fingerlings. The fish was so fresh! The sauce was simple and perfect, the veggies were fork tender but with a nice heft to them. One person I was with had ricotta ravioli in a brown butter sage sauce with burst cherry tomatoes WOW. That was full of flavor and made you savor every bite--the bread they serve was perfect for mopping up that BB sauce. The other person had a roasted chicken leg with morrocan seasoning including gremolata, yogurt, and harissa. It was served bone-in with couscous, chickpeas, spinach, carrots and other beg--the flavors were wonderful. I had bites of everyones dish and they were all so simple, balanced, and delightful. The ravioli made use of end of summer tomatoes, the halibut was a cross between summer and fall with some fall veggies playing well with the light shallot-poaching liquid. The chicken was an amazing balance of spicy (harissa and chicken rub), fresh (gremolato and veggies), and cool (yogurt and couscous). The total was $160 + tip. For food this good, I thought that was a pretty good deal--perfect for a celebration or date night. Really, a beautiful restaurant and meal, and well worth the prices.

This is the spot for breakfast or brunch. The huevos rancheros have a sauce that I dream about. Wear shorts and bring a sweater--one for the sunny seats, the other for the shady. Sit on the high porch watching the boats come in and out of the cove, have a mimosa and toast the food and the (wonderful) service as well as your company.

The food is really amazing, and the service is great too. However, the tables are not meant to seat more than 5, so our party of 6 was very cramped throughout dinner. Id recommend going as a party of 2 or 4 if you want to sit more comfortably. The sacrifice of being cramped is worth it for the food, but still an inconvenience.

We had a wonderful experience. Even though we had a last minute reservation, we were given a wonderful table by the water. The food was ultra fresh, inventive and completely delicious. In addition, the service was excellent, and we were made to feel like we were regulars. We look forward to coming back soon!

You cant beat the location of this hidden gem overlooking Annisquam harbor. Truly a delightful space to imbibe in some inspired locally-sourced culinary delights with a quality selection of wines. Definitely a little on the pricey side, so prepare your wallet.

The food, service & atmosphere was amazing!!! They have a fresh daily menu w 3 entree selections along w some appetizers. We came by boat; they have 2-3 spaces on dock that also has gas up further. Will definitely be back!

Simple, elegant and fresh. A gem of a restaurant in tiny little Annisquam. The menu is small but expertly chosen to reflect the local flavors and freshness of the seasonal fare. One of the best restaurants on the North Shore.

Great addition to Annisquam and the North Shore! Menu is thoughtful and changes based on availability of local product. Waitstaff is friendly and very professional. Food is among the best in the area. Truly a local gem.

We had an absolutely perfect dinner on the porch at The Market. Our server could not have been more friendly, and both the ambiance and cuisine was perfect. For anyone traveling to the area-- this is not to be missed.

Please stay away! We absolutely love it here - food, people, setting, ambience... and can no longer be serendipitous about walking down the street from our home and getting in for our dinner! ;)

Small, intimate, convivial and usually crowded spot all by itself on Lobster Cove. Artisanal cooking, friendly service, educated and somewhat ecclectic wine list by the glass.

Love the view of Lobster Cove and the food is some of the best on the North Shore with an emphasis on fresh local ingredients. Expensive, but worth it.

Nice setting for this casual restaurant with elegant dishes. The wine list is superb. Dishes are local and seasonal. Parking is terrible.
