I get a lot of stuff at L.L. Bean: everything from work and casual clothes to outdoor gear, bikes and accessories. I have never had a bad experience in the eight years Ive shopped there. This week was no exception: I took an old Bean bike in for a tune-up and to purchase two new ones for the family. Tony in the bike shop spent almost an hour with us, patiently taking us through all the details of the various models and describing the differences. Not once did he try to "oversell" us or saddle us with more bike than we needed. We each test drove a few different models, each of which Tony inspected and adjusted as necessary for us prior to our riding them. We ultimately left with two new bikes, very happy customers. I returned today (four days later) to pick up my older bike that had been tuned-up. Tony did a fabulous job for a very reasonable price, including both a standard tier-1 tune-up and putting a new chain and gears on there for less than what I would have paid at many bike stores for a simple tune-up alone. He even showed me the old chain and gear system and explained again (he had called me to confirm that I wanted the additional work done) why it needed to be replaced. Not a surprise, given that the chain and gears had ~7000 miles on them. Then, without my even asking, he proceeded to apply the Memorial Day Sale 20% discount not only to the tune-up work, but also to the bikes we had purchased there the previous weekend! Truly above and beyond. I cant recommend L.L. Bean at Wayside, or their bike shop (and Tony in particular!) highly enough.

I went there the day after Christmas I had to exchange the bean boots I received as a present because they were so large. When I went to the shoe department I had to ask for help but I didnt mind. I told you lady I needed a size smaller and she told me they had none left but she would check other stores. We checked found a few stores that had my size in stock she wrote down all of the information including mine and told me she would call if my shoe size came up. Im thinking yeah right shell forget I was even in and forget well a few days later she called and said the just received my size. Pretty much great customer service! Thank you

Ok, this is very simple, it is L.L.Bean, the name alone says 5 stars. Everyone in New England knows that L.L. Bean is the place to go to get clothing and outdoor products with quality and a guarantee to back it. The customer service and the quality for that matter is unparalleled. Most of things that I purchase now come from this company because you really just cannot beat it. I challenge anybody to find something negative about L.L. Bean.

Customer service at LL Bean is second to none. I called with a last minute monogramming need and they not only took care of it, they called me several times with updates. Reminded me of how great a company they are and how important good customer service is these days!

I like the store and have frequently shopped there. However, I always thought their products were made in the U.S. Im disappointed to see that a shirt I purchased was made in Peru as well as other items that I have bought in the past. This is the only negative.

Smaller L.L. Bean store with a very limited Home selection. Seems to get overwhelmingly crowded on the weekends. As with all stores, the staff is friendly and helpful but with the limited in-store selection is almost better to just shop online.

One of my favorite store. This locale has most everything thats in the catalog. The staff is knowledgable and friendly. The prices are competitive. This is certainly worthy of a stop if youre not heading to the LL Bean outlet in Maine.
