Im not entirely sure what the Boston General Store is, but I like it. I actually first heard about this place from Porter Airlines in-flight magazine, which at some point in time featured Boston General Store as a destination business to check out when flying to Boston. Its definitely a cool place to look for a gift for someone if you just want a snoop around and arent sure of what to get, because its filled with a surprisingly varied selection of artisanal items for such a small space. The sorts of items they sell include candies, soaps, hats, incense, cocktail crafting kits for airplanes, knives, backpacks, and much more... The person working the front desk was friendly as well.

Lean Force Boston

Went there and purchase some kitchen towels (nice ones) when I arrived home and used one of them to dry my dishes -- I noticed slight tears along the cloth as I used them. I went to return back to the store and they told me that once you used something it is not returnable... Even if the towels were defected. NOT a good business practice to hurt your customers due to a poor quality product which I paid a lot for. Not going there again.

Fairly diverse wares / average prices for this genre of store / staff was too involved in their own chat+phones to acknowledge us for most of our visit / for the price and service youd do better elsewhere
