As a lifetime resident of the town this store is in, I have shopped in this location long before it was “Burlington Coat Factory”. I have not only worked in retail most of my life, I have been involved in the management revolving around the changes from the “ Billerica Mall” to the “Shops at Billerica” I have always shopped at Burlington Coat Factory since it has been there, sure there have been times where Management seemed overwhelmed, where the store didnt look so good, I have had my share of problems with an employee or two. However, I completely understand the game, I have worked retail in its entirety and I think that as of lately this store has made major improvements, not only in its appearance but the staffing, and the accountability. I understand that there are associates who would rather go out on a Friday night and not help out in the store, or the young girls who feel that being a supervisor means do nothing but text and boss people around. I GET IT. I have made friends in that store, I know several relatives and friends that have worked there and for someone to say that the associates who work there are held at such a high level with low pay, resulting in lack of “ quality of care” and the store takes “advantage” of the residents is such a grossly misleading and uneducated thing to say. The associates there do quite a bit of work, no one forces them to work there. If an associate is getting harassed, picked on, or wound up and are being put in such miserable moods. These associates need to speak to Human Resource or District managers, the support is there. The standards held are standards that strive for customer satisfaction, asking someone to organize and put things away along with greet a customer is a standard in retail. If associates cant complete such a small task then they are not cut out for retail. Long hours, early mornings, late nights, drama, its all included in the retail package, you either have it or you dont. I would also like to say, for someone to make such a bold statement and say that Management is living the “high life” is such a misleading statement. From my understanding these managers work a minimum of 9 hour days, half hour lunches, wages that arent so great. They are the ones that started as associates, understood the game, were able to do everything asked of them and more and now not only do they still do all the things they did before, they have another role in managing the people, the money, the product, the whole store, while getting pressure from above and striving the a great “quality of care” and customer service. After seeing a rather well run establishment, that has a much wider selection than most other discount retailers in the area , a retailer that has employees who have proudly worked there for more than a decade, one that helps support great causes and gives young people an opportunity to work in such a troubled economic time I would recommend you shop here. Dont let the one disgruntled employees review change your mind, go in and meet the long time employees, the ones that say Hi to you and ask how everything is, the ones that make it more enjoyable shopping there.

Not only am I a long time resident of the town this store is in, but I have been witness to how poorly the store is run, managed, and conducted. Management currently lives the high life, while not even lifting a hand to assist their nearly all-woman staff in the store. They hold these females to an unfair standard of low pay and high work efficiency. It has taken such an emotional toll on some of these employees, that they have literally stopped caring about the quality of care for their customers. They have become so wound up by horrible management (Specifically Rich), that they can no longer provide a great service for the customer, because they are put in such a miserable mood by those in charge.. After seeing such a poorly run establishment take advantage of the kind residents of my town, I suggest not shopping here unless you enjoy supporting bad people making away with lots of YOUR money.

what a bad experience today it was 9.45 pm and the manager made an announcement we will close in 15 minutes at 9:55 she started screaming at my husband and I we are closed I said ok leaving there was people in front of me paying and she grabbed the Mic and didnt realize that it was on and said I want to get the f### out of here these people dont get it there was a group of 4 Brazilian paying at one register and I was at an other it wasnt even 10:00 pm everyone looked at each other I said wow cant believe she said that I had an infant with me and which it was very inappropriate for her to be talking that way in front of children all her employees started laughing I just looked at them and told the cashier who was that was that the manager she replied yes. another employee sat on the counter laughing like was cheering. I love shopping at Burlington coat but will never shop at this one again.

This store is set up totally wrong. There is no order in the way the clothes are put together. Say if I found a shirt I want but need a different size I have to search every rack for another shirt like it and hope to find the size I want. I have been to other Burlington stores and they were set up in the usual way. Each item with their own by size. It so much easier to find what one wants, which is why the majority of stores utilize this way of setting up.

This place is amazing i just got 3 bathing suits for $25 sometimes I go and find nothing. Most of the time i find too much. This place beats marshalls and tj max by far. I always get everything for so cheap and i mean everything from clothes sneakers to shower curtains. Go and see for your self. The employees have been so so so friendly and great.

Place has gone down hill in the last few yrs, dirty, clothes are a mess, in the wrong place, clothes on wrong size hangers, long lines, some friendly employees, dressing room is a mess and clothes are everywhere in the dressing room. They need to hire better employees or better managers to get this place back to what it was.

The store is a mess when you try to return an item they want you to take the money on a gift card that you only can used at burlingtoncoatfactory, the policy screw you to the to a point where you have to go back again to the mess store and spend you giftcard before it expires...

This place offers inexpensive clothing. However, the selection and stock varied each time I visited it and made it seem like it was picking up the unsold inventory of the more expensive department stores. This may be a good thing as it keeps us coming back to hunt for bargains.
