I love tea, tea gizmos and the idea of stores dedicated to tea. That said - Teavana is a big turnoff. The hard sell every time I purchase tea keeps me from wanting to go back. Two examples. First, I wanted 4 ounces of one of their teas. The salesperson kept asking if I was sure I didnt want a pound - 16 ounces - to get a 10% discount. This particular tea was quite expensive per ounce.Buying 12 more ounces to get a 10% discount is just a poor sales approach. Second, they are overly adamant about the health benefits of their tea. I dont mind hearing about the health benefits- though Im skeptical of them. It is a turnoff when the health focus feeds into another marketing/sales tactic: I should purchase at least x ounces to make sure I get the health benefits of having a certain number of weeks of tea. Its become stressful and annoying to go there and constantly say "no" to all the attempts to get me to buy more tea. As such, I wont be going back. If they could take a less aggressive sales approach, Id be happy to return.

Ive been going to this location for over 4 years, I love this place. Its always smells good and very tasty!! And the staff is always pleasant.
