I have lived along the York Road corridor all my life. Since three of my four adult children have worn glasses since they were very young, I think I’ve been to just about every glasses store that exists in the community. My impression has been that all glasses stores are essentially the same, UNTIL I went to Eye to Eye seven years ago! Just walking in the door I felt I had “arrived” and since then I couldn’t imagine ever going elsewhere for my glasses needs. The uniquely displayed vast selection of frames combined with Alex Chernoff as consultant sets Eye to Eye apart from all other glasses stores. I just got a new prescription and decided to get new frames. Alex is truly gifted in his ability to see and describe the shape, structure, contours and skin tone of a face and make superb recommendations accordingly. But on the same token, he doesn’t hesitate to advise against a particular pair, in the best interest of the customer. I appreciate so much that he is forthcoming and honest. Alex really listens to the customer describe likes, dislikes and goals, and then his assistance proves invaluable. Alex clearly loves his work but also takes it seriously. I believe his vocation would be best described as his calling as he is a highly intelligent, thoroughly knowledgeable artist in his field, and yet a gentleman of conscience as well as a servant for every age, male or female. I just picked up my new no-line trifocals. The lenses, made by Alex himself in his lab on site, are perfect, and I love the frames! Thank you, Alex! You really are remarkable! You and your store have raised the bar to a new height! 3-26-15

I was looking for sporty glasses specifically Oakley Flak Jackets with prescription lenses and found this store to be their official dealer. Alex had a few people he was helping at the time, but he acknowledged me and once he took care of customers gave me his full attention. He listened to my needs for glasses to work with biking, skiing and Jet Skiing and showed me the Oakleys but he thought that Serengeti would work better. We tried Serengeti Linosa (I think) Blue frame and blue tinted lenses both agreed that they looked best for my large face. Plus their photochromatic (change in darkness) quality would better work for all the activities. I picked up the lenses a few days ago (9/15/16) and took them out JetSkiing today (9/17). The lenses were well worth the wait. And they worked beautifully. Everything was sharp, there was no glare in the water and most of all they were very comfortable to wear and no strain on the eyes. The photochromatic quality worked as advertised as well with Sun being in and out they maintained the same level of clarify and indeed darkened or lightened with the conditions. The glasses were not cheap but in this case I definitely got what I paid for. If the lenses continue to perform my dad would be getting a pair for his birthday. Igor

Great optician! I have always used top of the line opticians and Eye to Eye became my optician of choice for my Kawasaki rimless frames.. The drilling and build must be exact to work properly and Alex was far better then my last optician. I have had my most recent frames and lenses for about a month. I am always overwhelmed at the choices and look for help on all things related to style.. Alex suggested a couple of frames with a totally different look for me and really recommended the pair I selected. The feedback has been extraordinary from family and friends. I was shocked when someone I dont know overhead a conversation and asked about my new frames because he noticed!! Finding someone who can see how to match shape and color to fit my personality was priceless. Highly commend!!

If you want personalized service and a great deal on stylish glasses - there is no better choice. I’ve been to most of the region’s eye wear stores, including Pearle Vision and Lens Crafters. Pearle Vision handles insurance information well, but their frame buyers have no sense of style. Lens Crafters has been horrible – they hire people that appear to know little about their stock and what to recommend. When I finally found Eye to Eye I was impressed with everything and will go no-where else! They know every frame in the store; they keep them up to date and VERY stylish with tons of variety. You get personalized service and I strongly suggest you accost the owner – a Mr. Chernoff – who is always there and will remember your preferences even years later (amazing).

I visited Eye to Eye for the first time 2 weeks ago, and I am happy with the overall customer service experience. Alex spent plenty of time helping me locate the correct frame style to compliment my face. He provided honest feedback which is needed when youre spending $500 plus on eyewear. You dont want to make an expensive mistake. The store carries an excellent selection of unique and colorful European eyewear brands (LaFont, Zen Barcelona, LaMatta) you wont find at the local Lens Crafters. There is fast turn around with the product; I purchased my frames on a Wednesday, and I received a call on Monday for pick-up. Most of the optical shops in the area send their frames to local labs to be made, and the wait time can be up to 5 business days or more.

I’ve been going to Eye to Eye for several years now, and I’ve gotten several pairs of my glasses there. This store has the best selection of eye ware that I have come across. It is always a pleasure working and chatting with Alex, the owner of the store. He has a really good sense of style. I appreciate that he will give his honest opinion regarding how a pair of glasses look as well as suggesting other designs that I would never have even considered. Whenever my glasses have needed any adjustments or tweaking, he has always taken care of things quickly and efficiently. Wonderful selection and great service, and again, it always a pleasure talking with Alex.

This is the ONLY place near Baltimore where I have been able to find designer frames in such a great selection. Everywhere else I look is full of name brand (Chanel, Oakley, Tiffanys) which often have lots of branding right on your face! My boyfriend and I stopped in, and with Alexs help, we both walked out with new frames that we LOVE after months of searching other local places with no luck. I have not stopped getting compliments on my new frames. The people that work there seem to have a great sense of style and will update your look without making you look like you stepped out of the Warby Parker plastic factory.

These guys deliver! Prices match quality, and can keep their word. Their optician is very knowledgeable and provides a very accurate eye exam, which is affordable even with all options included. I did the exam, gave them my prescription, ordered it, and got my glasses 2 days later. No discrepancies, no hassle. No disappointment. All in all, this went perfectly, as it should. As I expected, so I am happy. I came here because of their reputation on Google. And it went exactly as planned. If you want things easy and done right, come here and bring money.
