If I could give 0 stars I would!!! So i decided that Dollar General would be the best and cheapest place to purchase my Christ time items. I hand picked all of my ornaments and took it to the register. I asked the girl at the counter whether Libbys vegetables were on sale here, she blinked her eyes like(why are you asking me that) and said I dont know if they are on sale. I said ok and left it alone. Then, after she rang up my $87.61 worth of items I asked if I can put in my cell phone number. She said if you can find it on that right there, then go ahead. I said Im confused... Im not sure because normally the cashier makes it appear so that i can type in. She said well I dont know so... and proceeded to ring up the last of my items. I said maam is there a way that you can ask someone else because its not ok to just leave my question unanswered with an I dont know. She said yes it is. I said actually its not because Im a customer and you work here so you should atleast say I dont know and then say let me ask. She said no I dont have to say that so... then a manager came over and asked her to be quiet. OMG she said no. I said i say what I want and kept going back and forth with me. Then she started leaning on the manager. He was quiet and scared. Looked stupid. She argued with me while I was trying to swipe my card for my items and by then, I decided to leave everything there! As I was walking out she was still going on and on! The customers behind me said that she was sooo rude!

Im reviewing again because I was able to speak to the manager at the dollar general that I had the bad experience at and she was very kind and apologetic. She invited me to return to speak to her and the employee. The young lady was very apologetic and turned out to be very sweet! I was pleasantly surprised and appreciative of the treatment that I recieved as a consumer. They really took my feelings as a consumer into consideration and dont take things as such lightly. If i knew how to erase the negative review I would. At the end of the day, everyone is human and we have bad days and good. As long as were able to start over and learn from our mistakes, its allll good. Happy holidays!!!

I am in this store so much that I know the employees by name. I come in the store and know immediately when there is a new face and greet the employees that have been there as family and that is how they treat me! I absolutely love the customer service and the staff and even go as far as telling others to go in to buy every day things that they need.

Store always has stock in the aisles. Some of the staff use their cell phones on speaker and use profanity while on the call. Some of the staff do the right thing.
