Wegmans offers up to $100 in free groceries for transfer of five prescriptions. They have to, because no one would switch to this pharmacy for free. I switched to Wegmans after Weiss in Damascus changed their computer system and their best tech cut back his hours. The transitions caused time delays and errors with which I just did not have time to deal. Little did I know, Wegmans would prove to be an absolute disaster. My 95 yr. old mother is on a number of medications that her doctors constantly adjust. She, my husband and I all have excellent Rx insurance. In the few months I have been with Wegmans one tech in training lost a script over a holiday weekend, looked for it twice and came up empty. A day later the pharmacist found it, at my urging, on her first try. The Wegmans staff lured us in with the promise of easy transfer of scripts and the free grocery vouchers. When refills were needed they claimed to have put through requests to our doctor and our former pharmacy, however, days went by with countless phone calls to get the drugs needed for my mom. Wegmans did not even have some very common drugs and we had to wait until they could get them. We were told several times by Wegmans technicians that moms insurance would not allow certain drugs but when we asked to speak with the pharmacist the drug was suddenly allowed. We were also charged for drugs without the insurance being applied because of technician error. One of the Wegmans pharmacists is very nice and tries to be helpful. She seems to be stymied by a misinformed, ill trained support staff. Also, the practice of calling the doctors office to resolve issues does not happen. They rely on faxes even when it is obvious the faxes are not going through. When medical staff call them, the technicians are rude and unconcerned with the customers frustration, let alone the patients health and well being. If you value your time, health and sanity, do not use this pharmacy. No amount of free groceries is worth ones health!

The staff is competent and helpful. One time my daughters medication was no longer produced by the manufacturer and the Wegmans team called around to the other Wegmans and located the script. She even when to the store, more than 30 miles away to pick it up.

Cant complain that much. One of the pharmacists went out of their way to transfer my medication from Rite Aid and got it filled. Excellent staff attitude and customer service. Drug prices are high compared to some of their competitors.

Staff are very friendly as is everyone at Wegmans. Problem is more often than not they dont have any prescription in stock and we have to return in 1-2 days. Key is to call ahead.
