VERY SIMPLY... If youre not afraid of the truth, then J&R Jewelers might be a jewelry store for you. Ive known Ricky for almost 20 years. He has the transparent honesty you just dont see in the jewelry market today. He has the integrity and professionalism that reflect the man that I hold the highest respect for. You will get a great price for great jewelry that is backed by a great man. He mentored me when I was a new jeweler. -Michael Kuk 2nd Generation Jeweler (retired) MORE IN-DEPTH... (STOP!! if you really believe normal jewelry store ads) Bet on the jockey, not the horse - is an adage that you need to remember when choosing a jeweler (not to be confused with a jewelry salesperson). In the jewelry industry today, there are just too many half-truths, tricky wording, and shady personalities. Unless youre paying Monopoly money prices at luxury jewelers (Tiffany&Co, Cartier, or Van Cleef & Arpels) you cannot know for sure what you are really getting. There are too many variable in material, labor, and services rendered to understand prices at an untrained glance. That is why a good, trusted jeweler is so very important when it matters. Like when you think you are buying something real. DONT READ FURTHER UNLESS YOU WANT A HEADACHE! What you are getting matters in material commodity value and make. MATERIAL involves the quality of the physical materials in jewelry like gold, diamonds, etc. and include [Lab created/synthetic, surface treated/diffused, gold electro-form over silver/base metal, under karating, fracture filling, Natural vs Genuine vs Cultured, Gem quality, and Labor quality]. LABOR is the work that goes into turning gold into a ring, stone into a faceted gem, the difference between Cartier and a Dominion Jewelers (VA). It is why some jewelry worn everyday has problems within the first year vs. a decade. It why some diamonds that are EXACTLY the same grade can be worth only 40% of others. Its why some jewelry is art while others are just a valuable collage of materials. Ill just stop now. I have a head ache. I should write a book that no one will care to read. LoL Go to Ricky. Hes one of the good ones.

Earlier this week my Timex was out of battery so I went to this store. They replaced it very fast. The next day I took it to the pool and all of a sudden the watch stopped to work. I looked carefully and found water getting inside. I had been wearing this watch for 5 years and I wore it to pool constantly as part of my triathlon training and never had a single problem. Obviously they didnt close it tightly enough. The day after I took the watch back to this Jeweler store and they claimed once the watch was opened (by them!) they could not promise it to be water-proof anymore. What a ridiculous remark! If changing the battery would make a water-proof watch lose its feature why would I ever want to do it!!! It would be throwing away my money on a useless battery if I cant use it to time my swimming. Its like asking a car mechanic to repair something in your engine. He fixed the engine but you found you could never close the hood again. You asked him but he said once the hood has been opened he cant guarantee that it will ever close again. Anyway, I am never going back to that store again, ever! This really shows the quality of their work is sub-par at best.

After reading these reviews, I decided to check out J&R Jewelers today. I had 4 watches that needed batteries, bands shortened and several rings that had become too big including my wedding ring. Ricky took the time to address every jewelry repair need that I came in with, did an excellent repair job with everything and all at very fair and reasonable prices. He is a very talented professional who operates with the highest integrity and sets the bar for top-notch service. I was wowed and amazed. I will not go anywhere else for jewelry repair and give them my highest recommendation. And Ricky even introduced me to his 94 year old father who is also a class act. Im very glad that I found them. Made my day!

I jusy picked up my ring engagement ring today and it looks fantastic! Please do not make a judgement based on the last persons review. Ricky worked with me for over a month trying to find a diamond that would fit my price range and creating a ring just the way I wanted it. He sacrificed on profit and was not a pushy sales man like you get at mainstream jewelry stores. It is family operated and his business phiosophy is to run his business to satisfy the customer and let the customer do the talking for him. So I am doing the talking for him. Check this place out. You will get a ring for the same price as those other guys and a person who cares about making sure you get what you are looking for.

Im in the process of getting married and Ricky took such GREAT care of us from the engagement ring, wedding bands and cuff links for my guys. J&R Jewelers has done anything from change the battery to totally recondition my Ramond Weil (stopped working). Along with the retail jewelry expertise....the wonderful encouraging attitude of the J&R crew makes me feel as if we are family. He always goes above and beyond the call of retail duties...Ricky and J&R Jewelers has been and is a great blessing to me, my fiance and our family. Sincerely, James

I met Ricky the day they were moving in training in TaeKwonDo across the lot from them. Saw them needing some help so I did help. I befriended him and his family (real nice honest loving people) My son was born they gave him a gold chsin. I purchase rings, watches etc all at a very good price. He taught me how to rate stones(diamonds etc) gold silver and he didnt have to do this. Well my TKD school closed down but my friendship with them thrives. Great place to buy jewelry!!

Came in to get the clasp on my wifes Tiffany necklace fixed since the spring popped out. Ricky showed me a better clasp and had it repaired and soldered in about 10-15 minutes. Warrantied his work and the parts for 1 year with no additional cost. Pretty good for a Wednesday afternoon with no appointment or anything. Work was done onsite while I waited which is nice since the big box stores now generally mail stuff out for repair. Thanks!

I had an excellent experience at J&R today! One of the prongs was slightly bent on my engagement ring and I wanted to get it fixed. They helped me right on the spot and did not even charge me! Everyone in the shop was so polite and friendly! If I am ever in the market for more high quality jewelry, this is the first place I will go!

I was looking for a place to fix my friends ring (the opal came loose from its fitting and got a pretty big chip in it), and the people at J&R were quick to help me pick the best option for repairing it, giving me the options and prices. 4 days later I went to pick up the fixed ring. Will definitely be coming back again!

Ricky really knows jewelry. Most of it is imported from Italy. His family has been in the business for many years and Mom and Dad are usually in the store. This is a small, family run store that you can rely on for friendly, trustworthy service. The diamond earings I bought were beautiful and a good value.
