I needed an external hard drive for a new computer. Ordered it online from Best Buy, then after being notified the order was ready for pickup I headed to the mall. I find The Maine Mall well laid out, the anchor stores well-positioned. There is a great variety of retail stores located in the mall as well as outlying shopping strips. The Maine Mall, the outlying shopping strips and the surrounding area tend to be clean and well-maintained. The one downside to The Maine Mall is occasionally traffic is horrible, but a little bit of advance planning can help avoid going during those times traffic is likely to be an issue.

"The Mall" has been just about the only place in the greater Portland area for teenagers to hangout since the late 80s. Its also (as far as I know) the largest mall in Maine, so your chances of finding what youre looking for are pretty good. Older eyes have let me see that the times have changed with the economy and since, have changed "The Malls" focus. There seems to be a greater focus on younger kids, with a carousel located near the food court, and a couple of annoyances such as poor hours of operation, and (on the business side) high rental costs that translate to more empty stores in high traffic areas.

Huge selection of stores (Macys, Victorias Secret, H&M, Aeropostale, Sephora, Sears among so many others). Large food court that satisfies all food preferences. Very big so is kind of like driving around a small city as to parking. Parking areas are very twisty and can be confusing (hence the 4 vs 5 stars). There are many stores within the parking lot but outside the actual mall (book store, jewelry stores etc). Inside there are also many kiosks selling a large variety of brands and products. Definitely make use of the "you are here" maps if unfamiliar with the layout.

I Love The Maine Mall. I Love The New Food Court. I Loved The Original Arcade. I Worked At Winchesters Restaurant. I Love The Spinach With Cheese Croissants Still. I Bought My Parachute Pants At The Chess King. I Bought My New Leather Jackets At Wilsons. I Met My Amy Prout Again Here. I Knew My Nancy From Here. I Have Brought My Family Here. I Know Everyone. They All Know Me. Arbys Has The Best Roast Beef Sandwiches For Me. and I Do Love My Chinese Food As Well. Sincerely, Joseph Anthony Alizio Jr. "With Now Twenty-Four Published Books."

Great selection of stores to choose from and they have a really nice Food Court. My granddaughter favorite is the working Carousel the have next to the Food Court. It nicely air conditioned in the summer if your looking for a place to cool off in the summer months and nicely heated in the winter if your looking for a place just to hang out in the winter and warm up. Ive noticed its very popular with the young crowd. And if you prefer not to drive, the Metro Busline drops off and picks up there several times a day, even on weekends.

As a local to this mall, i can say its overall good, having been here multiple times a week since like 2011. The stores are great, the people are exceptionally friendly, the mall is great at hosting events for cosplayers (or any event), some things that arent the best is the style, the inside has been the same forever now and it really needs a makeover in some spots, and also many many stores that were extremely popular there had closed down which is saddening. but overall its a nice mall, very clean and not to loud either. The Maine Mall has a great variety of stores and vendors to select from. Plus some attractions for children to release energy at. Convenient to get to from the highway or local roads and has a nice group of food services to accompany the shopping experience. More than enough parking and surrounded by even more stores, restaurants and businesses. The mall has always been clean and kept in good shape. They host different events throughout the year also which help enrich further the usefulness of the complex.

As far as Malls go, this one is fine. Unlike many in the country, this one seems to be thriving and doing good business. Incredibly busy on the weekends (parking can be a major hassle IMO), but clean and well-maintained with a variety of stores, including your typical flagship department stores (Best Buy, Sears, JCPenny, etc.). I tend to avoid the Mall like the plague these days, because I dont find it enjoyable or a satisfying use of my time, but they run a tight ship.

My mom works in the mall since I was very young so Im biased. This mall is great. It has all the shops you need and there are some great food places. They have places for kids to play all throughout the mall. I would go and hang out at the mall as a kid because it was the only place in town really. Ive been to much bigger malls, but I find they just repeat store types and I get bored. Its the biggest mall in Maine and its a great place.

This Mall has been on a downhill slide, then strangely started pushing out popular retailers & moving in extremely upscale marketers like Michael Kors. Many empty stores. Has the rent risen to exorbitant prices? Does the Maine Mall need instate managers who understand the frugality of Mainers? While I like Michael Kors products in the abstract, I cant afford their prices & wouldnt pay them if I could.

If you go early in the day on a weekday, its a pretty mellow place. I accompanied a friend who wanted some new clothes for a reasonable price and there was a sale at Sears. There are sales in most stores at this time. She found some nice outfits for under $20.00 or less. And I noticed some stylish clothing for fall. She chose Sears because they have shopping carts to help her walk around the store.

It used to be better years ago now its just one highish end clothes store after another... And like spencer gifts had alot of neat stuff now its just hot topic 2.0! Food court is ok i guess has a couple of japanese choices food looked good. Overall the mall itself seems nice enough its clean and well maintained but store wise just big disapointment. Wont b back anytime soon

Supposedly biggest and best in maine, well Im from new Jersey and it was nothing special just like any mall extremely over priced but convenient. I cant judge there food court never purchased any food but just like any other mall. One thing I did like they have some rather large area for kids play in turning in out Lil houses and riding few rides.

I wouldnt necessarily call this the best mall I have ever been to, but it is far from the worst. This place is very easy to navigate and offers quite a few different shopping experiences. I would recommend taking a stop by if you are having a lazy day or just need something that you can only find here, but I would not plan a whole trip around it.

I love shopping and eating, and this place caters to both. There is a wide variety of stores, such as Forever 21, Lush, Aldo, Apple, Best Buy, etc. The food court is diverse as well. It includes Arbys, Charleys Philly Steaks, Gloria Jeans Gourmet Coffee, Jimmy the Greeks, and Qdoba Mexican Grill. Overall a great experience and fun place to shop.

Good variety of shops, both big and small. Pop up booths along the main halls offer fun and quirky product options. Bathrooms are clean and easily accessible. Solid variety to the food court. Pretty good directional signs, but it is still kind of easy to get lost. Multiple entrances and copious parking make it easy to find a spot and get in.
