The mall itself is great... some of the store are classically overpriced, to be expected, as it is the mall. It could definitely use some newer stores to breathe new life into it. By far though, worst experience was the nail salon by Kokipellis. I understand that they dont have to speak English to do their job but when Im sitting in a chair in front of you and you are clearly making fun of a "first timer" and laughing I have a HUGE problem with that. They didnt do good work or even ok work... I got the gel set and my nails chipped almost an hour after having them done, even though their sign says lasts up to 2-4 weeks w/no chips, cracks. They are all uneven and my daughters nails are the same way. The woman who did mine wasnt paying any attention at all to what she was doing and I had paint all the way back up my nail to my first knuckle... I went back to see about a repair to the chip in my nail later the same day and was told no refunds or free repair. They wanted me to pay $12 to fix one nail... No thanks! They wont get my business again.

Its the only real mall in the area, besides a sort of strip mall, so its much less a choice than a lack of options. Since the economic downturn, the place has become a retail ghost town. The only stores that are really left are the same ones you can go to anywhere (American eagle/Hollister/etc.) and you can often get better prices ordering online with free shipping (Macys/Sears) and theyre even losing the investment from many of those franchises (Macys will be closing 100 stores nationwide and Bangor may be one). The they Im referring to being Simon the company that owns the mall. There are tons of vacant stalls there, making even window shopping a depressing proposition. Im no fashionista, so the only places I really go are Sears, Dicks sporting goods, and Macys on occasion. And if youre more trendy than I, youll usually do better shopping at one of the outlets in the mall area, bit not in the mall.

I dont patronize the mall much these days. Im handicapped and while they have mobility carts, you have to make your way in to the center of the store to get one, they only have a few and many of the stores dont seem to be set up so you can browse using a cart. The mall seems to be dying a slow death. One by one, the larger retailers are pulling out. Sears and Pennys seem to be surviving, as well as Dicks Sporting Goods, but the mall is suffering. The food court is so so. If your travelling from Canada to visit the Bangor Mall you might want to consider driving another couple of hours to Portland. The mall there is much larger and more active.

Unfortunately it seems like a lot of stores have closed so there are many vacant storefronts. Ruby Tuesdays has closed so the only food available within the mall is a Chinese place, a sandwich shop that is mediocre at best, Starbucks, and Dairy Queen. It does have all the normal mall shops and it is clean and well lit. There are also quite a few out-parcels that offer additional dining and shopping. If you are from the south where there are large, nice malls, you may be disappointed. Maine is not big on malls so it is only this one or Portland. The mall is very busy at certain times of the year with Canadian tour buses.

Bangor Mall is demonstrating that it is in trouble! Macys recently closed, leaving a huge hole, not only in the mail but the whole retail community. But walk through the mail. Closed stores are too numerous. Ruby Tuesday closed months ago. The space is still empty. A Tee shirt store that went into the space where the Hallmark store was located has already closed up. Empty sites everywhere. Mall management needs to get cranking or the whole place will start emptying as leases come up and the stores want a vibrant retail environment, not one more representative of a funeral...

I went to this mall yesterday. I only counted 9 empty stores. Thats not as bad as some are making it out to be. I have seen WORSE. Can you add new stores to replace those empty ones and replace Ruby Tuesday? and Replace the Closing Macys I went to yesterday with a relocated larger Cinema w Imax and Forever 21? The mall had shoppers yesterday. It will increase peoples shopping experience by adding new stores and filling the soon to close Macys.

If you need any indication about the fate of retail, the Bangor Mall and its half dozen empty stores (including Macys and a Sears that has all but shat out its last gallon of blood) are a grim reminder that Amazon reigns supreme. It should be noted though, that the local market stores, such as the Bridal Store (Dream Dress Bridal) and other more specialized stores can still do a brisk business...it is probably a good thing...

This place is a decent mall. It has the regular mall stores and food selections. However, it is quite obvious that the mall isnt as popular as it used to be and could be. There were a variety of stores but just no people to buy things from them. It has potential but it needs to find a way to bring in more customers and find stores that people actually want instead of a Dream Dress that nobody wants or needs.

While smaller than malls from other regions, the Bangor Mall is a landmark shopping center in Maine. There is a pretty good variety here for the area, with clothing, shoes, video games, lingerie, food, novelty gifts, and a few classic department stores. Its clean and comfortable, and if you like shopping for the sake of shopping its a must stop in the Bangor area.

The Bangor Mall is a mere ghost of itself from years past. The mall seems scarce even on Fridays and Saturdays. There is not much there to keep the crowds coming back outside of some clothing stores and some jewelry stores. They used to have stores that attracted the younger crowd and theyre parents who spent money.

Ive been going to the Bangor mall for decades now. Its a little sad to see now because so many stores have left/closed, but its still a nice location and clean and well maintained. To clarify, the stores leaving/closing have nothing to do with the Bangor mall specifically, its just the world we live in today.

Always love visiting the Bangor mall. Only complaint I have is that the public restroom I hard to locate if youre not familiar with it. Theres no signs anywhere to point you in the right direction, and the one sign that die say restrooms is very small, you can walk right by it and not even know you did.

I love this mall, they have such good stores for teens like me! You have your clothing and shoes stores, and then you have ur tech and nerd stores like hot topic, and the pop sockets, fidget cubes, and spinners in the middle in the little cart is so cute and they probably get slot of people there!

Anyone with any intelligence should never spent money at this mall or Simon Mall for that matter. The outrageous rent each tenant pays are so high that they really have no choice but to pass their overhead to their customers. Go find bargains and value online at Amazon or EBay.
