Family and I went in and purchased/adopted two male guinea pigs. The initial experience was good. 23 days later one of the guinea pigs died, no sign of illness and very random. Of course my daughter is heart broken. I called the store and explained the scenario and the young uncaring lady said well we have a 14 day policy so we cant do anything for you, but we have plenty more guinnea pigs in stock so come in anytime. Really? My daughter is crying in the background and you offer a sales pitch for another one? Since we dont have a lot of money I asked her if there was anything that could be done since it was just 9 days beyond their "policy" and she coldly said No. So be careful getting pets here ... If anything goes wrong they will hide behind their "policy" everytime. Instead go to Petco, they stand behind their animals for 30 days and if the animal gets sick in that time frame, Petco will pay for a vet visit. Plus Petcos employees actually care about the animals and the emotional attachment of a customer.

Outstanding Customer Service today! It has been along time since I as a consumer have been treated with such customer service as today! Friendly associates extremely helpful! And our cashier went over and beyond to help us achieve the best value for our money! Great job Rusty! Even the manager was kind and extremely helpful! This PetSmart location was very clean and organized. The reason for going, is I received a coupon in the mail for a free bag of any kind of dog food up to 8 pounds, they were offering a Blue reusable container, with dry food, wet food, and treats for Free! The employees were very helpful, and pleasant.

The groomers at the Augusta, Maine, PetSmart are all so amazing! We have two little dogs and they always come out so good looking and happy! Shout out to Amy who does our little Schnauzer, and Rachel and all the others who have worked on Buddy!
