I wanted to like this whole foods, but there are some serious negatives. The parking lot is pretty spacious and the location in the neighborhood is great. There are even a few charge stations for electric vehicles. Options for carts and baskets are available, but there are no traditional grocery bags. This could be a plus or minus when it comes to preference, but the paper bags do not hold up all that well. One of the handles broke once, and shattered everything in the bag While everything was replaced for free and the bags are most likely safer for the environment, I can only imagine the waste from the glass and food far outweighed the plastic from all the bags that would have been used that day. I also imagine Im not the only one who has had this problem. The biggest point I can make is everything is seriously overpriced. I know that the idea is organic, healthy food and products, but nowadays you can get probably 90% pf the same brands at Brookshires or Krogers for a much cheaper price. Trader Joes (not yet here in Shreveport) offers the exact same style of health and ecology orientated products at a significant discount, akin to walmart pricing, so theres no excuse whole foods has for price gouging. The meat and seafood sections are paltry, significantly over priced and the meat is not high quality. I asked the man at the fish counter which fish he would recommend for sushi, and he was told from management or supplier that none of it is quality enough for sushi. Some of the fish approached $18 a pound, and if Maxwells Market down the street has sushi grade salmon for half the whole foods price, then what is the excuse? The beer and wine selection is pretty good and somewhat fairly priced. There is a store brand wine thats only $3 a bottle, but there is nothing stellar otherwise about the selection. The deli section is the only redeeming part of this store, but still expect to pay $10 minimum for a meal. Everything seems to be freshly made with whatever leftover vegetables that did not get sold. Theres an actual pizza oven and unique pizza by the slice options are available. Theres a coffee shop here as well, and isnt a bad first stop on your shopping trip. Overall, the store isnt necessarily bad, it just leaves a lot to be desired. While theres a decent selection of prepackaged food and alcohol, theres a dearth in availability in virtually everything else. Pricing feels unfair, especially when most of the products are now available at nearby grocery stores and local markets for a significant discount. Its a great store if you have a special diet and money is no issue, or if you want a quick bite to eat, but otherwise whole foods in shreveport does nothing new, and what it does is worse than other similar stores.

This is a small Whole Foods with a limited selection of products. The prices are quite steep, so I expect a superior quality. Most items met my expectations, but not all. In about 60 % of the occasions that I bought fruits, they were good, in about 20 % they were average and the remaining 20 % were below average. Many of the packed goods are not better than in any grocery store, just more expensive. You will, however, find many organic and good quality items. Dairy items are very good. I love the bakery, it is far above standard. As Im pescetarian, I cant comment on meat or poultry. There is a large selection of delicious cheese that I seldom find in other grocery stores. The hot and cold bars are a bit boring and the hot food is not always great for the price. Once I had to return the fish because it tasted bad. The coffee bar is nice and the seating areas are outstanding. I appreciate that I get a paper bag and would like the fruit and vegetable section to use paper or biodegradable bags, too. All employees I met so far were very friendly and helpful. I think, the staff is doing a great job. All in all, its a decent store. As I shopped in numerous Whole Foods all over the country, I can say that the Shreveport branch is the smallest I have ever seen. If you ever drive to Austin, TX, visit the Whole Foods flagship store on Lamar Blvd.

I was really excited for this store, but knowing it was WHOLE foods, this store will empty your wallet quickly. Everything is overpriced. I love their huge selection of nuts to seeds, to even spices. Im a big pickle lover and have seen different brands and flavors of pickles I have never seen in regular stores. They have a very nice salad bar thats self serving. The thing I was really disappointed in was their pizza bar. Its the worst type of pizza you can eat for a Whole Foods store, which I had assume theyd be healthier. Theyre nearly 700 calories a slice, but given they are HUGE pieces, its fair to say theyre really two slices in one. I havent gone in here much due to the prices, but its really nice.

Its very new, so everything looks so clean and pristine. They have a cheese bar that you can sample any cheese they sell before buying, and a few other pay by the pound eating options, like the hot bar. The products they sell are obviously a bit more pricy, but in exchange most of them are made with little to no artificial ingredients. Like soda with cane sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup. I probably wont be doing all of my groceries here, but will definitely be buying key items and visiting the hot bar from time to time.

Brand new store, super clean, as you would expect, hopefully stays that way. Prices are okay, depending on what items you get. Organic and such are always pricier. Easier to find organic products and green alternatives here. Probably not going to get everything there, but will definitely visit regularly. Parking is fine, exiting on E 70th can be tricky depending on traffic. Fern might be easier at rush hour.

Great selections. Price is about 15-20% premium. However they make sure the grocery section is clean, bad or browning items are removed the buffet temperature is appropriate, the floor is clean and there are sanitary wipes. There just should be a hand sanitizer located in the buffet and the serving utensils should never be stored in the food. We shop here weekly

This is a standard Whole Foods with an excellent bakery, extensive cheese selection, fresh meat and seafood counter, great pizza, fresh food bar, smoothie bar, organic produce, packed food, beauty products, and health supplements. I appreciate their lactose free food selection. It is great for speciality items, but is too pricey for me for a full grocery trip.

I like feeling good about the produce and not worrying about genetically mixed up or pesticide covered veggies. I also have become addicted to some foods that cant be found elsewhere like Belle & Evans Coconut Covered chicken breast strips. Whole Foods is a fun place to shop because of their variety of healthy foods.

Beautiful store! It was very clean and organized. Their was a large selection of items and the bath salt section was great, very relaxing smells. The bakery/ deli had a large selection of fresh cooked foods. This would be an awesome place to visit if you are working on improving your overall health and wellbeing.

When this store first opened it was very good. But in 8 months it has declined. The food bar has become overpriced and boring. Same food on the bar an entire week. The produce is still good . But I have found molded food items in cooler in cheese department. Store needs to get on top of things .
