I prefer to shop quite late, and tonight/this morning I decided to pick up some things. At around 1:00 AM, I go to their water aisle to hopefully buy some bottles of coconut water. For the 7th time in less than 3 weeks, the entire shelf is empty of 1 liter bottles while the entire shelf below was full of pint bottles for a highly marked up price... I mention this to the employee stocking the shelves, and he completely ignores me. I see another employee at the end of the aisle, and approach holding the bottles to show; she turns and ignores me and starts walking away. I say out loud "I know you saw me; I have a question." From no where a quite large man, an obvious employee, jumps in front of me asking "Whats the problem?" I simply asked why there had been no 1 liter bottles of the water for 3 weeks, but they always have the more expensive smaller ones. He blamed distribution, and I explained Id worked in the industry for years. You place the order, and it shows up to be sold at retail quite quickly. UNBELIEVABLY (check your cameras), he moves into me nose to nose, growling theres nothing he could do, and Id better stop being rude. He then threatened to throw me out and call the police! I told him I wasnt rude, but I could be if hed like. Instantly, he did a 180° turn of personality and sarcastically said "Have a nice night and let us know if you need anything else." with a smug grin. Finally other employees took control of the situation, apologizing profusely and telling me whom I should speak to about what just happened. Please expect my call.

Im really on the fence about this store. I was hoping it would be more like Publix but its lacking in many areas. There is only 1 employee taking care of many self checkout lanes and Ive had issues repeatedly in checkout and had to wait a looooong time for the poor employee to get around to my lane. Ive been treated poorly at customer service trying to make a return. I absolutely despise the layout of their parking lot. I had a horrible experience in their pharmacy drive thru once on a Sunday, there was only 1 pharmacy tech working on a busy Sunday afternoon and I waited close to 45 min just to get to the window. The pros: their bakery is the best of any grocery in town. The produce section has free fruit for kids. Their sales are great. They have lots of unique items nowhere else in town has. I had hoped it would be my permanent shopping place but I still do about 90% of my shopping at Walmart. I only shop meijers sales.

I"ve been to Meijers in Mich. I prefer Meijer over Walmart b/c they keep a cleaner even after being open for a few yrs. well stocked store & have better prices than Wally on most stuff & its not all China junk. Plus the staff is friendlier & more helpful. Also there is more room in the aisles for customers to manuever through with squeezing by eachother. Also the door greeters at the Meijers I went to actualy greeted PPL & asked if you needed help finding anything specific. The Meijers I went to had been open for a few yrs & their good things didnt fade away like Walmarts has, although there are still a few good workers at Walmart I can tell workers there are worn out from bad policy changes at Wally. Kmart died yrs ago. Targets selection & prices are a joke.Macys LOL. Sav a Snots meat can kill you b/c its frozen, then thawed & you cant refreeze it safely. Meijer will have my business!!

Ive shopped your stores for a number of years in Louisville and Bowling Green, KY. I have always been impressed with the quality of your food even if it were proceed a bit higher than other grocery stores. The whole "you get what you pay for." I wish I could say the same about your Owensboro, KY store. After the start up support staff left Ive noticed a steady decline in quality. To be specific, on a recent visit I found three items in the produce section - guacamole, bagged lettuce and mushrooms that were scheduled to go out of date the next day or the day after. A display of lemon cakes were not completely frosted. It looked like they ran out of frosting and tried to spread it around as much as possible. Im really disappointed. While the staff is cheerful and friendly it doesnt make up for poor quality in your food. Guess Ill have to try your Evansville store

Starting to really love this store. High quality meats, items that we cant find anywhere else in town. Love they have marrow bones for my dogs and they are not as expensive as a butcher. This is a huge store. Would recommend if you have problems walking long distances, you use a chair. The aisles are wide, store is clean, merchandise is easy to find and to reach if you are in a power chair. Fresh fruits and veggies are very high quality. Their pharmacy offers certain medications for free. Metformin, certain antibiotics and others are included. You do not have to have insurance or be a certain financial level. They are free for everyone. Their over the counter products are in a wide array. They sell almost everything there. Prices are great. So great they are putting a local well known competitor out of business. It is worth a visit.

Loved the idea of a Walmart killer. Meijer is pretty much that. A better Walmart. Similar prices, you might save just a little more with Walmart but Meijer has a much better selection. The employees at Meijer are a million times better than any Walmart employee Ive ever encountered. The worst part about Meijer is simply, its location. I mean, its not bad...but, its not great. Depending on what time of day you need to get your shopping done will greatly influence if you will either: A) fight the traffic and go to the friendlier staffed and better variety of products of Meijer OR B) the quick, easy, Walmart that we all know and hate.

Went grocery shopping at Meijers in Owensboro, KY for the first time. Grabbed some uncooked chicken breasts and strips which was couple of pounds of raw chicken. Continued shopping, 20 minutes later all of our groceries smelled like spoiled chicken. Returned the chicken to the Deli, where the employee said it was bad. Then went to checkout. All of our groceries still smelled rancid. Got the manager and she gave us one fried chicken strip and one fried chicken breast. Hope we dont get salmonella.

The store is clean. The employees are helpful, even those that are busy with stocking. The shelf price on some items are higher than other stores, but they regularly have sales and offer coupons through their app. That, combined with the reward program, makes the items far cheaper than anywhere else. I love that they offer a self checkout with room enough for all your purchases. Employees are quick to assist if there is a problem.

This morning not very good I always go through your ads and write down what I need this morning I get to the meat department ground beef on sale not available yet they were working on it this is like 10 in the morning meat should be stocked by 10. Also miss printing ad a adjustable folding walking chair at $20 sale turned out not to be true misprint

Amazing produce selection and tons of different varieties of almost every product. Theres even a whole section of shelves dedicated solely to Sweet Baby Rays BBQ Sauce. Its like that for a LOT of different things. Its a bit pricey but if you keep an eye on sales and make good use of coupons, its actually cheaper to go here than some other places.
