After researching piercers around town and seeing such positive reviews of Twisted Images, I made an appointment with Corinne to have my nostril pierced. Both over the phone and at the shop everyone was friendly and informative. The piercing itself was no big deal, Corinne gave me plenty of information and sent me on my way. A little over a month later I went back to Corinne to have her trim the L bar because it was uncomfortable (standard practice after a new nostril piercing). She removed the jewelry, trimmed it down, and was unable to get it back into the piercing. She got a new stud and bent/clipped it differently and then tried again. No luck. She used a taper to stretch the piercing out and then once again pushed and prodded to get the jewelry in the hole. It was quite painful. She told me the issue was that the membrane on the inside of my nose moved around more than usual, so it was very difficult to get the post all the way through. During this process we also agreed to tighten the jewelry down, because it was sitting pretty high on my nostril. For the next 48 hours it felt like someone had punched me on that side of my face, and I had a fair amount of swelling, as a result of the very difficult job getting the jewelry in the hole. It was WAY more painful than the initial piercing. For the next two months, the jewelry continually jutted out of the piercing hole and nothing I did would get it to sit flat. I developed the "bump" (granuloma) bc of the constant movement of the jewelry. I decided to visit a different local piercer that was recommended by a family member. This piercer was incredibly kind about my situation, and without badmouthing the work that had already been done, simply informed me that my piercing was not straight through my nostril and in fact had a curvature to it, making it very difficult to insert jewelry. He said I would likely not be able to do it on my own. I am pretty disappointed overall, because I do not have the flexibility to change jewelry easily, and so far it has required pain and bloodshed each time. I will reiterate that Corinne was very kind and the shop was clean and well run, but the piercing itself is flawed. Without being overly negative, I do want to make sure others looking for a piercer are informed.

Ive returned to Amy for 12 years since the day I came to her shop and she helped me with a bellybutton piercing gone wrong from another, now thankfully shut down, local shop. Amy has a pristine and intriguing place. She refuses to use low quality jewelry and tools for the sake of profit. The shop is beautiful and totally decorated by Amy and friends. If you dont find yourself looking at one of the portfolio books, youll find yourself wandering through a sterile art gallery, if you will. Amy is accredited and very versed in her work. Youd expect to see certifications and degrees in a doctor, lawyer or professional office, right? Take a look on the walls and youll read her very impressive credentials as well. Shes immersed herself in training and accreditation than most other professionals do in their career. Personally. Im thankful to have the gift of Twisted Images in Louisville. The reputation and passion of such a long standing local business is a wonderful example of what local customer support should always accomplish. Ive recommended several friends to the shop and always hear wonderful feedback after their visit. Amy will always always be a dear friend, not only to myself, but the Louisville community. Keep supporting local business so they can sustain the artery of culture and diversity our city thrives on.

Day before my 19th birthday I went in for my first piercing other than ears, a nose stud. I had done all kinds of research to find the best place in louisville to get a facial piercing and Twisted Images was by far the best decision. Upon arriving its very difficult to find parking which would be my first small complaint, but when walking into the location its very unique and has a cool atmosphere. The next complaint would be the fact that it was super hot, it seemed as though the air conditioning was out, it was so hot. The piercing experience itself was amazing..i was INSANELY nervous and Corinne did an amazing job relaxing me and explaining everything in great detail for my family and I. My final complaint would be that they are much higher in price than the majority of other locations. 35$ for the piercing and 30$ for the jewelry. 65$ is a bit high. Otherwise the piercers are amazing, extremely knowledgeable, and very kind. It was painless and a great experience aside from the higher price and warm atmosphere. I would still highly recommend Twisted Images to anyone.

There was 4 of us wanting the same written tattoo in memories of a loved one that just passed away. Went into shop and spoke with Ely about getting tattoo done. He set up appointment for next day. Explained that 2 of us were from Arizona and leaving the next day. He took our deposit, and set up appointment for noon. We showed up at noon, and waited 2 hours. Before finding out he wasnt showing up till later. They didnt want to refund our money at first. He didnt answer phone when called or anything. Finally when we got in touch with him. He said he would do one at 6p.m. So I showed up at 5:45 p.m. he was taking someone else in before me. Doing something that was going to at least take till 7. This guy is very unreliable. Wouldnt trust him to do as he says. Besides that he wasnt even set up to do any work. Was setting up his corner too,had poor dog sitting in the car waiting and eating car too. Also had girlfriend sitting there too. 2 of us are leaving un happy due to his Bullshit. His loss out 400.00. Dont go to him even the girls there felt sorry for us.

The long over due Review I got my septum pierced over 2 weeks ago. I had to cancel my first appointment and they were very understanding. The next day I was out running my errands and decided to cal to see if I could come that day. They scheduled me right in and was OK with the fact I was with my husband and kids. When we got the we were taken aback with the beauty of the house and decor. The ladies we very friendly and happy to see us .When it was my turn they explained everything and relieved me of all fear and hesitation I had. If you are an old girl like me that is finally wanting to express themselves like I did, this is the place for you!!

Amy did my first oral piercing today, and it was perfect. I got my lip pierced, left side, and she was professional and fun all the way through the process. The piercing itself was swift and easy, and Amy did a wonderful job of keeping me calm, telling me to focus on breathing. All of a sudden, it was over! The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere clean and casual. Pricing was fair and reasonable. They provided aftercare instructions and the actual aftercare solutions, so I would not have further expense. I will suggest Twisted Images to anyone who wants to get piercing or tattoo work done.
