Elizabethtown location is not as good as Radcliffs and nowhere near as good as Bardstowns. Worst, annoyingly vast and sloping, seemingly unmonitored parking lot. The most frequented by solicitors with tables set up by the doors. Some of which have seemed quite suspicious to me. Salvation Army at Christmas is fine. Girl Scouts with their cookies are fine. But some strange man asking for money for a very vaguely represent ed "charity" is not what I want trying to get my attention and my $$ ! Flower section almost non-existent. Ladies clothing terrible unless you are a plus size or a junior size! Shoe department as usual at WalMart is very bad. Never a good idea EXCePT for Dearform ballerina slipper houseshoes. They have moved the fish sticks and chicken nuggets so many times, I think they are trying to hide them! Meat department has never been very good. No WalMart meat dept. Is as good as Kroger, but this store is really lacking in volume and variety in the meat dept. Maybe they should improve and promote it more. By contrast, the dairy section seems unnecessarily vast...? Why are apples so expensive and tasteless tomatoes... More varieties of Great Value brand SOUPS please. Beer but no wine? Nice staff in Electronics. Always helpful! Wish the fabric dept. was open more or someone could fill in just to cut a yard or two of fabric for me! Is a special license required or what?...I wouldnt mind if you moved the tampons, etc. One must stand practically in the middle of the aisle in everyones way to peruse those shelves for the correct item and that is not the best spot. Women like a little discretion at least. I think its in between some mens products and the fish tanks. Weird placement.

I went grocery shopping at 7:30 am and was frustrated at the empty shelves, poor selections, and past ripe produce. The avacados were completely mushy and should never been allowed to remain- they should have been discarded days ago. The GV fat free milk was mostly empty, and every gallon left had a sell by date 4 days away- approximately 20 gallons. I had to get a different type so that I wouldnt have to hurry and drink the milk. The butter I was looking for (unsalted GV sticks) was not readily available, it was in a cardboard box that I asked the store employee part way down the isle (rearranging sour cream) if I could open. The meat department was void of ribeye steaks, except the $20 packages, and they were partly brown, along with most of the other beef. The chicken and pork were bare as well. The produce was horrible, with the salad, spinach, and mixed veggies sell by date of the same date of my visit. The grape tomatoes were soft and wrinkled, and the bananas wouldnt last 2 more days. I was so disgusted I almost left my cart with the groceries in it and left. It is a trend I have observed at many walmarts across several states ( I travel for work). They do not care what they sell, only that they sell! Not to mention I have witnessed store employees picking thru the grapes- every bag- picking off the bad ones, eating their fill, and rearranging them to be somewhat appealing to the eye. I have witnessed them also in the restroom, come out of a stall, go to the sink, but not wash their hands(run their fingers thru their hair instead) and go back out to the floor. I will never by groceries at that store or any other walmart again.

Rating 1 star because I cannot rate any less. I recently moved to Kentucky ftomorrow missouri. Since Ive been here Ive only been in contact with rude and hateful people. Upon arriving here, we soon had to try and leave because where we were staying wasnt safe. My family, desperate to get me out of here, sent 400 to my boyfriend and I to keep us safe. The dangerous people we were staying with, were able to call up here with no problem to find out who sent money to keep us safe. My grandmother is the one who sent us money through the walmart center and the EMPLOYEES gave away her address, phone number, and found out how much they sent to us. Because of this reason, the dangerous people theartened my FAMILY. I called the manager which could not care less that they put my family in danger. Furthermore, we decided to let it go even though they jeopardized our safety. While at walmart today I simply asked a question, " do you know where the restrooms are at?" The woman would not answer me and when she did, she was extremely rude and only said yes. And not to mention there was another woman at McDonalds cutting her fingernails and flinging them all over the place. I cant wait to leave kentucky and I will never return to this place again. I never knew a place could be so terrible and jeopardize my familys safety. Amaris Wagner.

The Elizabethtown Walmart is very unorganized and chaotic. It is very rare that I find everything I need in one trip because they are always out of stock. Employees seem to be very annoyed if you ask them for help, are generally unhelpful either because of laziness, rudeness or lack of knowledge. Most of the time if you have questions you will be passed to and from multiple associates before getting any kind of actual help, which usually still does not fully resolve the original question or issue. Customer service is seriously lacking and finding what I need is a hassle. The check out lines are long, slow and become even more aggravating when you are in a hurry and look around to see many Walmart associates talking and cutting up instead of maybe running the register they were assigned to or opening a new one. The older gentleman in the paint department that hands out a peppermint is the only delight this Walmart has. He is friendly, works as fast as possible, will go out of his way to get you the help you need and smiles while doing it. In my opinion he needs a raise and needs to be put in a management position. The entire associate crew could take a lesson from him.

The Etown Walmart sucks, pure and simple. They really need to improve their same-day pick-up process. If they dont have the item in stock, they shouldnt allow you to order it and schlep your way down to their chaotic store only to be told that they refunded your money because they dont have the item you ordered in stock. Morons! Then when I complained to management, although the guy was courteous, he still made me feel like I was wheeling and dealing at a car dealership. "What do you think is the appropriate discount to give you on an item for your trouble?" Really? So I said $40, and hes like, "thats more than I usually give..." Then he suggested $30 but said he couldnt give me $30 off of a $40 item. Oh, so were talking percentages here? As the customer, I was doing all the work. How about you give me the $30 off AND put me on your payroll? smh Also, why dont you guys try answering the phone once in a while?!

Although Walmart does provide more for less. They always come up short on customer service. You can never find anyone to assist you. On those rare occasions when you do; they are not educated as to what they are selling or where products are located. I understand that this is enormous retail store and it would be impossible to know everything in it. However, I would expect the department managers to know what is being sold in their section and to make the CSRs aware. Dixie Davis, the general manager is in dire need of more training. I hope that by providing said training, it will trickle down among the ranks. Take note, your staff is undertrained and understaffed. You need more in the checkout lanes instead of wandering around the store aimlessly.
