I have gotten all of my tattoos here. They do amazing work for a fraction of the cost Hell Bomb or The Electric Chair have to offer. My first tattoo I went to The Electric Chair, I wanted one word "Fighter" in cursive. The tattoo is one inch thick and probably 3 inches long. They charged me $80. My second tattoo I went to Hell Bomb to see what they would quote for a price. For "Wounds heal with scars still remaining the same" on my upper right thigh they were going to charge me $220. I went to Sailors World Famous after leaving Hell Bomb because a coworker recommended them. He charged me $120 and did a better job than the artist at The Electric Chair did on my "Fighter" tattoo. I have sense gone back and received 3 more tattoos. One on my side, one on my finger, and one behind my ear. I have had the one behind my ear for about 2 years now, and the color has not faded one bit. I refuse to go anywhere else in the Wichita area and recommend them to anyone who is looking for work done. Three of my friends and my brother have received tattoos from here and have had no problems, and the work turned out amazing! I had 2 friends come and get piercings and they had no problems and Raul was very accommodating to my friend who became very dizzy and lightheaded after her piercings. Their humor is a little on the dark and twisted side, so if people dont like it, thats on them, not on the people working there and the amazing work they do.

I would like to state that my review is solely based on my perception of how I have seen Raul treat potential customers. The potential customer asked a simple and VALID question that should have been answered in a professional and honest manner. However Rauls response was hateful, unprofessional and dishonest. He lied about being APP certified!!! Your work "may" be in your opinion and some of your customers opinions wonderful work, but if you cant answer simple and justifiable questions related to your business without you yourself causing all these 1 star ratings.... The simple answer of her question would have saved you and your business from the VALID 1 star reviews youve received. I will continue to take my business elsewhere and will spread the word of your MALICIOUS, INVALID and undoutably vile existence amongst certified, reputable, professional and customer considerate true artists of the world.

I went there a few years back for a square inch, black lined, no color tattoo of my favorite artists logo. Raul wanted to charge me $100. I politely tried to say that that very pricey for the simple design I wanted. He lowered it to $80, and since I had heard good things about the shop, I figured Id take it. He was incredibly rude during the session (which was about 30 minutes), and even I offered to to leave him a tip (because I always believe in tipping). He said that I obviously needed the money more than him. I found since friends that had went to his shop, and had much larger pieces than mine. None of them were over $100. I guess he just gives good prices to skinny hot girls. Oh well. The tattoo has held up nicely, which is why I opted for two stars. But I will never be back and I will never recommend them to any of my friends.

Extremely rude to those attempting to ask questions. Claimed to have an APP member piercer, then got angry when APP member proved otherwise. They use externally threaded, acrylic jewelry for fresh piercings, which will cause an infection. Curved barbells in surface piercings, which will reject. Claimed that 12 year olds can easily pierce safely, and no one should be "too concerned" with safety measures. Sexual harassment is common here as well. For your safety (and your friends), please find another establishment.

I love to support my local economy as well as small businesses. Sailors has a atmosphere that some may find offensive but I love it. The artist have done some amazing work that Ive seen and the piercings I have had done were quick painless and healed beautifully. If your looking for good work and a laid back atmosphere your in the right place. But Dont expect to be coddled. They have great customer service. Treat them with respect youll get it back ten fold.

Raul is a very unprofessional, arrogant, disrespectful person who I would never call a "professional". If you care about respect and decency, I would never go here. He also posted a statement claiming that this establishments piercer(s) are APP certified, and this is false information. (APP can be contacted, and their website can direct you to any APP certified piercer in any American region and Sailors has none.)

Awful customer service on their FB page. Countless times they have belittled, bullied, and disrespected their former and potential customers. The shop even had the audacity to post that tattoos are not permenant and you should come in, get your tattoo (during a $20 tat promotion) and get out. If you say otherwise you are a AND I QUOTE "moron repeating bullshit". Please be careful of who you chose for a shop.

Deleted valid questions from potential customers from their page after being rude. Very poor customer service. Lied about having APP members at their shop. Tells women to shut up and that its the best they could get when it was voiced that she had been hit on and treated very unprofessional. So Sailors world famous scumbags you can take this one star because its the best you can do.

I have seen how the shop runs their facebook. They will lie to you just to cover up their garbage piercings and lack of quality jewelry. They have multiple posts talking about how shady and ethically terrible one of their tattoo artist is. If you get hostile over something simple then you are clearly doing something wrong. They have no defense over their terrible work.

Literally everyone whos rating it 1 star has never been to the shop and has never even worked with them. Theyre very professional in what they do. In fact, out of all of my piercings, theyre the only one that Ive never had a problem. They made me feel very comfortable - even for a Friday the 13th event. People are too sensitive.

I set up an appointment, was there on time, and had everything ready to go. I got up to the counter and the man working told me the PIERCER WENT HOME. I received no call, no apology, nothing. I do not live close to Sailors, so I wasted a good portion of my Saturday. I will not recommend making an appointment with them ever.

Seems to have issues with people asking basic questions about their artists and piercers. Uses below quality jewellery even though that have admitted they could use better. Rude, crude, and disrespectful to customers/women. Would prefer to go somewhere that doesnt take issue with valid and legitimate questions.

Very unprofessional and rude to customers. Harass people on their personal Facebook business page. Tells women that they will take sexual favors in exchange for tattoos/piercings. Will not answer questions in a professional manner and instead chooses to belittle anyone who has questions. Do not go here.

Zero professionalism, horrific attitude towards potential clients. Claims piercer is a member of APP but search results proved that to be untrue. Claim to have accounts with high quality jewelry companies such as Anatometal, BVLA, ect, and searches with those companies proved that to be untrue as well.
