I called R&J Liquor to reserve a very allocated bottle of bourbon. I asked that they hold it overnight. The associate indicated that they had one in stock and that he would make sure a note would be placed on the bottle stating my name, phone number, and that it was spoken for. I indicated I was going to drive 6 hours round trip to pick up the bottle and that if anything came up to please contact me. I drove down the following morning and the store associates indicated that the bottle was no longer there. It had been sold. I explained my frustration at driving 6 hours to leave empty-handed. I received a very weak apology from the store associate and the on-duty manager made absolutely no effort to rectify the situation. The manager didnt even come out of the office to apologize or explain what had happened. It was the worst customer service I had experienced in years. I would not spend $1 to buy a pack of gum from this location. Stay away! There are much better stores in Wichita that appreciate their customers.

Disappointed. Been a customer for years! Left store and within minutes of getting my 20 pack of bottled beer out of my car - (YES, with both hands, using handles on box) one side completely shoots out. My driveway is covered in beer and broken glass. I understand this can happen - However, when I called the store and visited with John he said that there was nothing they could do. He kept repeating everything I said and almost mocking me, like he didnt believe a word I was saying. They might have gotten my money this time, but they have lost me as a customer. I love supporting local mom and pop businesses, but if they cannot stand behind their products and its (faulty) packaging then I can drive a little further and go to another liquor store

Absolutely Rude, I went in and was told my ID was expired and they couldnt sell me anything. Of course that is fine I understood that. Asked my wife and mother of my 4 year old son to go in and buy what I wanted to take over to her parents for dinner. They chewed her out, yelled at her and kicked her out of the store. This is not a high class establishment.

Four liquor stores in my immediate corner but I drive the 15 minutes to R & J. Why? The staff knows their stuff. They are friendly. They provide suggestions like you like the Jeffersons Reserve? Have you tried...? And you can score some pretty sweet sale deals.
