I have visited the "rip offs" known as Whole Foods Markets here in Wichita. Not Impressed, to say the least. I am from Denver & am used to the fair pricing, & healthful diet being the NORM, NOT just for the so called "trendy". You are, at times, 30-40% higher in price on your supplements, your staff is TOTALLY clueless as to holistic, alternative, & herbal information and your food is less than stellar. I am trying to get Whole Foods Market, Vitamin Cottage & maybe even Trader Joes, among others....to realize how disadvantaged the poor folks here in Wichita really are when it comes to actual WHOLE FOODS, vitamins, etc,... Just because you have found a great way to make your living by ripping people off here, does not mean you will not, someday, get competition. I would venture to say that all of these little rip off "health" markets in this area would fold w/in 1 month if there were a REAL WHOLE FOODS MARKET here. No...I am not talking about stealing their name....I am talking the BIG one. The one that is as big as a WalMart, & families can get organic food w/o having to be "upper class"! I purchase my supplements & vitamins now online at Vitamin Cottage out of Denver & make the drive to Tulsa or K.C. to get stuff I really need at Whole Foods Market. I am sorry to break the news to you guys, but just because you decide to put vitamin bottles on your shelf....doesnt mean you have earned the right to call yourselves "Whole Foods" or anything other than OVERPRICED! To my fellow consumers - There are REAL Whole Foods Markets out there! You CAN live healthier, not pay a fortune & still have staff that actually KNOW something! You CAN have variety & actually trust the level of quality in what you purchase! We just need to make sure we keep letting the REAL Whole Foods Stores know we want them here! What a change that would be for Wichita!

We go to this store often b/c we live a couple miles away and its convenient to purchase some things we need grocery wise, I wont rate their selection b/c I know they are getting ready to make the store bigger and add more selection/variety. However, today is the 2nd time we have made a special trip there and they were closed again even though they are supposed to be open from noon to 5 (Sunday) and they were defenetely closed- lights off & no one home. The other day, I didnt get off work until about 7:50 (when they closed at 8:00) and called & told the lady, I believe her name was Pam, that I was on my way and that I would be there right at 8 (maybe a minute or 2 after) and she wouldnt accomodate me.....that, to me, is not good customer service. Especially, when I was coming specifically to purchase a drink and not browse the store. I know the economy isnt doing so great right now and you would think they would please the customers they had all they could.. I know 8:00 means 8:00 but when I tell you I am making my way, most people that care would say, "oh sure, thats no problem" but I guess I am trained to treat my customers with great service. So- my last 2 cents would be that they close down when ever they feel like it & dont hold up the hours they say they are open and that the people I have dealt with dont go the extra mile to keep their customers happy.

I gave two stars only because the staff is generally helpful and friendly. Otherwise, I would have given one star. The selection is reasonably good. But the prices are at least two times higher than you can get the same thing for online at numerous places --- and that takes shipping charges into account online and taxes locally. I only use this store in an emergency. Its close to me. The price issue holds for other health food stores in Wichita as well, including Food for Thought. They all are far too expensive. Moreover, the produce is often old. Its just not a good overall shopping experience and a real waste of money. And, as another person said, you cant count on them being there when theyre supposed to be open.

Amazing health food store, driving through from Colorado (this is similar to natural grocers) and forgot some healthy necessities. They had sunscreen, soaps, deodorants and more. Even got filled up on organic snacks. Susan was more than helpful in health and beauty and even checking out was plesant. Thank you!

Ive gone to 2 of the 3 branches in Wichita and everytime I go the staff is always friendly and available for advice and info; they are know their products and will help you find exactly what you need and if you dont find what you need they will help you with other options. Love the store.

The staff is so helpful and I can find everything I need and be out of there in about 10 minutes, no waiting in long lines. I am so glad they have this location since I live in College Hill, I do not have to drive all the way to Bradley Fair. Shop Local!!!
