Awful Customer Service! I bought my dress from Emily Hart Bridal last year in December. They told me it would take 6 months to get. 7 1/2 months later it finally arrived and I was able to make an appointment for a fitting after I called and asked about it three times. I had three fittings at the store, all of which were very stressful. I felt as though the tailor didnt listen to what I had to say. I mentioned I would be getting married on a beach, after that her motto seemed to be, "It doesnt matter if the dress drags on the ground, youll be in the sand anyways". After her telling me I couldnt have the bustle the way I wanted because "Fabric doesnt do that" and after three fittings she cut my dress so the hem was uneven and after she bustled it the way she wanted IT STILL was dragging. I finally said enough was enough, I paid for the alterations on the top portion of the dress and took it home from the store to find someone else to fix it. As soon as I got it home, I tried it on again and noticed one of the bust cups stitching was already coming off. I called and emailed immediately to tell them and ask for a refund on the partial charge for the cups. They let me know that once you leave the store with your dress they are no longer responsible and are unable to do refunds *even if its only an hour later*. I was very upset about this so my Fiance went up there to talk to the manager. As soon as he mentioned he was there about a refund, she threw her hands up in the air and said "Sorry nothing I can do, Emily Hart is the only one able to do a refund and I dont know when shell be here. You can wait for her if you want or you can leave the store." She was not willing to listen to my Fiance about the situation we had, or even try to work with him at all. She also did not contact Emily Hart to inform her of the situation going on. It has been three days since he went up there and we have not received a call, email or any other type of communication from them apologizing for the errors to my dress or the bad customer service. I have now taken my dress to another tailor who was able to cut and bustle it exactly how I wanted. He was very puzzled by the work the tailor at Emily Hart Bridal had done. Needless to say, if you want to avoid horrible customer service and paying for alterations to be done twice, DO NOT GO HERE.

I can not say enough great things about Emily Hart Bridal!!! Every girl has an idea of what there dream dress would look like, and I was no different than every girl out there. So I got on Pinterest, found the one of a kind dress (key word one of a kind) that I fell in love with...In great Pinterest fashion there was no designer listed so I saved it to a board and ventured out to find my dream dress! I happen to be with my mom, had sometime and stopped in Emily Hart Bridal. Not only were these girls the nicest girls I had ever met, but they were beyond helpful and were able to get me right in to try on dresses! I tried on my fare share of dresses and before I knew it I had fallen in love with 2 dresses.... I had fallen in love with the top of one and the bottom of another...which I for sure thought would be a problem....but I quickly learned the word problem does not exist at Emily Hart. Before I knew it Emily herself was out by my side asking what I liked about each dress and then explained if this was the dress I had always dreamed of, her and her team could make it happen! I was amazed and for sure thought this is to easy....I immediately thought about cost, but to my surprise not only could I have my dream dress but I could have my dream dress for under what I had set aside in my budget!!! I will never forget the first time I saw my dress and how much I was in love....In fact I wish I could wear it again Im so in love!!! Emily and her team are the best of the industry...so if your looking for your dream dress and wanting to work with the best team in Kansas City...I highly recommend you head over to Emily Hart....her selection of dresses is everything & more!!! My wedding day was more than anything I could have ever asked for and I owe a big portion of that to Emily Hart Bridal for giving me the chance to have the most beautiful wedding dress Ive always dreamed of!!! I know I keep saying this, but I cant thank Emily and her team enough!!!! You girls are THE BEST!!!

I took my dress for alterations and at the beginning they seemed to be nice. I told them that it was not purchased at their store but they still wanted to know where I bought my dress. After the overpriced minor alterations were done and paid for, they asked me if I wanted to steam my dress. I was hoping they will do a good job but, BIG MISTAKE. I went to pick up my dress two days before the wedding and the dress was full of wrinkles. Emily was defensive and said Shari is the best at steaming and that she did a great job. She also told me that all satin dresses look like this and theres nothing they can do. I have seen satin dresses before and no they dont look like this. There were a lot of wrinkles at the seams which could easily be removed if it was steamed properly. I pulled both sides of the seam and asked Shari to steam it on the seam while Emily was watching and the wrinkles went away! The same happened with the edge of the dress where they hemmed it. I called my fiancé and asked him to call another vendor to find out if they can steam it before the wedding since. Emily overheard the conversation and started criticising the other vendor. She said they lose wedding gowns and that sometimes they send the gowns dirty. I was talking to my fiance and not talking to her and never asked her opinion. I also noticed a mark at the edge where it appears as stitching that was removed but not carefully. I was trying to examine the mark when Emily said "thats a flaw in the dress and it came like this" before even seeing the mark! Im not sure how she knows that. The dress was shipped from Allure and I was the first to open the box. Both the store owner and I examined the dress when we received it and did not find any flaws!

I am an out of town bride who traveled into Kansas for Thanksgiving. I had been looking around online and found Emily Hart’s website. I would first like to say that the website is well done and as a bride who likes to do her research online before going into any store I find that a well done website is usually a good reflection of the store. Emily Hart’s website is well kept and easy to navigate. I called and was so surprised able to get an appointment for Friday Nov 27. My appointment went amazing! The store is beautiful! Christmas music playing and the staff at Emily Hart were superb. The vibe and essence of the store was lovely. I worked with Brianna (not sure of spelling) she was patient and helpful, she helped me figure out the style of dress that would work well for my body being that I am so short, she was easy-going and supportive with each step taking time to listen to what I liked and didn’t like about a particular dress. She helped pull more dresses for me based on what I said I liked and kept a positive attitude throughout the appointment. My appointment ran all the way through until her next appointment came into the store, she did not rush me at all through out the process. Although, I did not purchase my gown here I absolutely recommend Emily Hart! My appointment here still stands out as being one of my favorite and most memorable bridal appointment ever!
