We went to Hurts at 8pm on Sunday night. Our family of 4 (2 littles under 6) had never been there before. The donut case is a lot to take in, So many kinds to pick from. While there, my kids enjoyed the Windows to the bakery part. The kitchen staff seemed kind and the young man rolling out yeast donuts interacted with our kids which made their day! The counter staff was a different story. Being a still new store with LOTS of options I would think they would be more understanding of customers trying to make up their minds. The woman behind the counter seemed irritated with us from the moment we walked in. We bought a little dirty (6 donuts) and 2 extras we were wanting to try. Spend $15 which for donuts is a lot to me. We were never thanked for our purchase or offered to add on a drink. We sat and ate part of our donuts and kept the rest for the mornings. In the store I tasted a few of our donuts. I noticed the cake donuts were dry like they were a day old and the frosting was more sugar then flavor on my maple long John. I also noticed they packed The donuts standing up which I thought was weird. The next morning we got up excited to try our other donuts only to find the standing donuts were missing half the frosting as it had slid off of them. Super frustrated! I packed what was left over from breakfast into baggies and that seemed to help the cake donuts a little. Over all I wont go back and wont encourage friends to either. To be completely honest you can get a better donut from Quik Trip for a fraction of the price! And maybe teach the staff some manners. I know your located in Jordan Creek, but kindness counts wherever you are!

Stopped in there tonight after a movie at Jordan Creek with my daughter. Never been there but have been told by many people that its great, so we decided to try it. Didnt really see a menu for the donuts so you have to look through the cases to decide what you want to choose, and when it was our turn, the young lady who waited on us was very short and acted like she was going out of her way to serve us. We both selected a single donut and then grabbed a third to take home to my wife. That seemed like it was frustrating to the server because we got a snotty "Well how many do you think youre going to buy". The donuts were good... not great. As many others have said, its basically pure sugar. The customer service was horrible, and thats just not a review of the lone person who served us but also her compatriot that was helping the people behind us in line. He sounded just as irritated to have customers in the store. We wont be going back.

This place has a really cool vibe, and I wanted to love it. The decor is fun, and you get to watch donuts being made while you wait in line. And there probably will be a line. I went on a Saturday night and waited for maybe 10 or 15 minutes. Ive heard it can get worse. The choices for donut flavors are seemingly endless. Two giant cases full of options, most of which have fun names like Homer Simpson or Cookie Monster or ET. And they look fun, too. Unfortunately for me, the donuts let me down when it comes to taste, where it really matters. The donut base was fine...not great but not bad. Pretty standard cake donuts and yeast donuts. But the ones with icing had way too much icing for my personal tastes and became cloying. And most of the donut flavors have icing. Id probably go back and just be super careful about what I select. Not ready to give up on this place yet. I want to like it for the name alone... Hurts Donut.

A pretty disappointing experience on a Saturday afternoon. I was told you cant get cinnamon rolls or fritters on the weekends because they want to focus on the doughnuts. I was also lied to by the same woman who "helped" me when I asked if the chocolate long johns were filled with buttercream or a custard cream. She said buttercream...theyre not filled at all. And I couldnt get the long johns as part of the 1/2 dozen I was getting even though theyre the same price as the specialty donuts. To top off the experience the 1/2 dozen donuts were smashed together into a small box and were a mess to pry apart. I ordered a salted caramel, two smores, a Bart Simpson, a German chocolate cake, and a peanut butter doughnut, plus a chocolate and a maple long john. They were okay, nothing special.

These are not inexpensive pastries.. but they are *huge*--you should give serious thought to eating half of one and giving the other half to someone to share,. (Filled donuts? Youre on your own.) Theyre skating the edge of too much icing for my taste, but that may just be me. I must admit that the donut I had a day after we bought a half dozen was somewhat dried out where not protected by icing, somewhat corroborating another review. Well have to come up with a way to protect those we dont eat quickly. Yes, you pay for the privilege of choosing the donuts in a half dozen or dozen, and that bugs me. That said, the donuts are very good. They have an amazing variety, and theyre open 24/7, or rather 25/8 as the signage says (guess the founder is a Beatles fan).

I visited recently and was a bit disappointed. The service was fast and pretty good. The conversation with the cashier got a bit awkward, though. He told me that I was uncultured for not having seen Kung Fu Panda 3. I figured he was joking around, but it was a bit much for someone Id met about 10 seconds prior, in my opinion. I was excited to try their fruity pebbles donut, but all of that excitement ran away as soon as I took my first bite. The cereal was as stale as I imagine cereal can get. There was no trace of a crunch to be found. The frosting was great, but not great enough to distract from the cereal. All in all, not a terrible experience, but I feel no urges to return.

I love going here. The donuts are always amazing and staff are very friendly. But be prepared to wait, there is always a line. Normally its quick and personally I think the donuts are well worth it. Most of the donuts are cake donuts so they tend to be a little bit drier and the frosting/toppings are always piled on. I recommend the donut shake. Its made of frosting, ice cream and whatever toppings are on the donut you chose. At first it seems pricey for a milkshake but if you really think about it you get the milkshake PLUS a donut. Also the peanut butter knots are my favorite though they tend to still be a little raw near the center.

Went on a Saturday afternoon and the wait was only about three minutes, but there was chaos at the counter because no one knows what they want ahead of time. We had to yell over other customers trying to place our order because the employees were jumping around between customers. Donuts are big and creative, but they also have too much sugar and were hard as a rock. I dont understand all the hype; weve had better. The up charge for the privilege of picking your own donuts is a complete turn off, as they are overpriced as is. Might try them again in the future for one or two, but definitely wont be making a special trip to do so.
