This is an initial customer relation response: This store rocked years ago! Not anymore.... 1) walked in. Wasnt greeted. They all acted over ambitious, rock star attitude without the guitar in their hand. 2) I was the customer, keep that in mind. 3) so, Im sitting and waiting and my Genius Bar appointment gets bumped for two walkins. I have waited for 2 days- 2 days for this appointment, and Im early. 4) they are still acting high on something, like shloads of chocolate- glad happy salespeople. 5) its an overzealous store that they run around in and talk smack about people. It is so obvious that the salespeople are all have fake smiles belittling the customers. THIS IS WHY THIS STORE SUCKS. THE PEOPLE ARE BEING FAKE!!! Hopefully one shows up that is true. Hopefully. Update, still waiting with no support. 1 hour past appointment. New update, the most humble, smart, nice person probably in the store came out from behind the curtain to help. They didnt have time to read my review, so its karma creeping in for my patience. The review was still how I felt and theres no reason for that. Thats whats out there though. Everywhere is dropping I like yous for meeting you and running with either fake, mean or angry. All to say in the end our warranty wasnt worth anything and they wanted $200 to hassle. I paid $170 new for the IPad. The problem with this store is they hired a powerful control wielding sales lady that trys too hard to keep everything in check. The customers are on the back end. The people that work there act like they are the only ones that own apple products and treat you as if they are the only ones on the front end end of technology. Its very belittling. I should have never had a technician weird a sales pitch. They could have said it very soon in the beginning that Apple no longer replaces broken devices. This store has NO competition and thats the main problem. There should be a lot of Apple stores. This is a wizard of oz effect to keep the sales high on retail end and never lowering prices. If something is not available, and you only have one place to enjoy looking at them, then they can act and do anything they want. This place needs another store to compete so they can come down from the clouds they produce.

My daughter and I waited 15 minutes for the store to open this morning. To be fair, there were also several other potential customers waiting outside the store. When we entered with the rest of the potentials, the staff just stood alone like wallflowers. I approached one of the staff and asked for assistance and was told I had to talk to the person who was already three deep in customers waiting for them. When they finally got to me, I was asked what time my appointment was. I said I did not have an appointment and inquired if I really needed one. I was then told the next appointment would be 2-1/2 hrs. later that day. Being as My daughter and I got up early and drove 1-1/2 hrs. to talk with the apple store, I then inquired as to how long I would have with one of their consultants. They told me 15 minutes and then I would have to make another appointment. Being my phone was brand new and I still have 10 days to return it, I decided that the rude and non-interested customer service representatives did not want/need my families business. I kindly obliged them. My Iphone is now on its way back to my cell carrier and my daughters potential 6 will not be purchased. Droids will be my familys phone of choice. On another note: This does seem to be the attitude of any company associated with phone communication. Whether it is a cell company, a land line company or any company associated with over the air communication. With what we all pay for the services and support we receive, I truly hope/pray that one day a person/entrepreneur will come along who will not only have a great functioning phone, But who also will have customer service representatives who care as much for our business as the owner of the company. See You At The Top

I tried to call and make an appointment as soon as store opened at 10am, only to be put on hold for 20 minutes. Then I got an automated voice message giving me about 9 options to chose from and when I picked one, I got cut off. Decided to drive there from Ames. Once there, I was told that I had to wait in line since I didnt have an appointment. Very Frustrating. Did finally get to see a tech, but repairs to my computer would cost $755.00. Tech said there was moisture inside. It apparently doesnt take much moisture to fizzles these things, Apple builds very expensive computers that are so fragile, they dont even last a year. It is like building a car out of paper and charging Cadillac prices. Even as disappointing as this is, I have had other problems with Mac Book Air prior to this. Computer is less than one year old, but none of the problems I have are ever covered under warranty. I have been a loyal Apple customer since 2001, and insisted on only buying Mac Products, but it seems like there products are going South as far as reliability. Stores are shiny and beautiful, they even sell drones, but most people there are trying to figure out how to use their latest gadgets, or having problems with their gadgets. No wonder wait times are so long, so many problems with the product reliability. techs are overwhelmed with service calls. There automated phone system works bad. I was told that if I had an I Phone, the whole process would be easier... REALLY? I am seriously questioning my loyalty to Apple products. Apple Store looks great, like a beautiful shiny apple, but the fruit no longer taste good, it might even be rotten.

5/23/2017 (1030 am). Apple online messed up my phone yesterday and I will never allow that to happen again. I went to the store because I was hoping someone with hands on could fix it. To my surprise I had to make an appointment (and it says no where online to do that) . So I asked to speak with the manager. I had to laugh when the manager said "you have to make appointment with Drs. and so you do here as well". I argued that it should be online to tell me to make one. Best Buy dont have that and you never spend time in line waiting that long with them. Then he asked do you want to make one. Well, 2 1/2 long time or I would just go home but he came up with...GO Shopping. However, I do not live close by. I know my time was not important to them not to mention the time I spent the day before on the phone with Apple .... now you have to include the mounting frustration. I told him my phone is done in September I will go with another phone....he said other companies are not in Iowa that you can walk into like ours. So I said this is ridiculous...what good are you here in DM if I cant get in to see someone about the mess Apple put me in to begin with....he said well if this is how you will treat the people that work for me than I wont make an appointment for you. Alrighty then!!!!! I will deal with all the lost pictures that are gone off my phone .... Now I see people on here with one star...pay attention. This is for real. They are the only ones in Iowa... however, with that said....what good is a store that is beautiful if the guts of it are no good. Is it Undercover Boss time???
