That One Guy
Overall: I have been a customer here since 1996, and I have never had a bad experience here. Any minor issues have always been resolved by staff. Probably the best store in town in terms of cleanliness, proper setup, and overall experience. Pros: Decent selection of sticks. Accessories are plentiful and actually fairly priced. Cool events every so often. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and not pushy. Lounge is exceptional. Cons: Prices are high (example: RP May 28th Edition. Saw a box of 100 for $1,200.00. I bought one elsewhere in town for $650.00). Lounge access is expensive (although worth it if you can afford it). Parking can be a hassle sometimes as its on a busy street.

The thing that sets Cigar Source apart from the other shops in town is their dedication to good customer service. I walked in wide-eyed clearly with NO idea what I was looking for, and was immediately helped in finding the right cigar for me, without ever experiencing any"pushiness" that can come along with a first-time experience. They will take the time to educate you and make sure youre purchasing exactly what you need and want, and they do it with a pleasant demeanor. As someone who doesnt smoke a lot of cigars, I felt welcome and had a perfect experience. These guys know their stuff, but theyre not pretentious about it. I will only go here from now on for my cigar needs!

They had a large selection of cigars. Seemed to have every CAO and RP available. Their prices seemed a bit higher than I expected in comparison to other b&ms in the DSM area. I lit up a cigar just purchased from there and it was a little dry. Pros: Tons of selection. Staff seemed knowledgeable. Cons: Humidor has one path that I dont think more than 3 people can walk around at a time. Higher priced and in order to smoke in their lounge you have to pay $10 a day or pay a monthly fee for membership. Some may consider this a plus, but for someone who doesnt live nearby, i didnt care for it

Excellent experience. Bought a few to try them out and see what I liked. Owner was very helpful seeing as how I know little about cigars. Ill be back every time I am able when I am in town. Thanks again.
