I used to think this was a class act jewelry store. Not any more. I brought my ring in to get a bent prong fixed on March 26. They commented that the peridot stones that surrounded the diamond were scratched and did I want them polished. I agreed to this and they said they didnt even think they would need to be taken out of the setting to be polished. They told me the ring would be done in a week, two weeks tops. After a month, I called the store to inquire about my ring. The women on the phone was rude and was basically wondering why I was calling telling me that when the ring was done they would call me. On May 23, nearly two months later, I still had not gotten my ring back. I went in to the store and spoke with Gary who was actually quite nice. He at first couldnt find any record of the ring being brought in but then found the record and it had been sent to California to have the stones polished. No one ever mentioned to me that it would need to be sent to California to have the stones polished. I thought this was a full service jewelry store. He called the lapidary shop in California on the off chance that someone would be in on a Sunday and did talk with someone who said they had called Ginsberg with a question and never got a response back so couldnt proceed. Gary told me the ring would be back Wednesday that week, Thursday at the latest. No call by Thursday. I called the store on the following Sunday, May 30 and Gary was not in but I spoke with Herman. He kept wasnt even sure what was being done with the ring and kept making excuses for the delay. He told me that with the Monday holiday it should be done by Wednesday at the latest. It was done by Wednesday but when I went to pick it up, it was $40 more than they quoted me and I couldnt believe they were even charging me based on the unnecessary delays. They didnt return the call to California, they never told me getting the stones polished would entail sending the ring to California, they charged me more than I was quoted and I had to wait when I arrived at the store to pick up the ring. One gentleman was helping a customer and no one else was around. As I said, I used to have high regards for this store. I will not be back. Carrie Carlson

What a friendly and generous jeweler! I actually called them by mistake! I thought I was calling a jeweler in Oelwein to ask for a donation to our small town of Hazletons summer celebration that includes a raffle. The fellow that answered the phone offered us a donation!! How nice! Thank you Ginsberg!!!

I stopped in because I needed a watch re-sized, which I had purchased online. The staff did the service for free and in very little time. Everyone was incredibly friendly and the store looked great. I will definitely be using this as my jeweler of choice for any future purchases.
