TERRIBLE! Absolutely terrible. Im glad I found that out... I will never shop here again. The furniture is great but theyre idea of customer service is the worst around. I first went in there and within an hour I had a pretty extensive list of items that I decided I was purchasing. They told me that the majority of them were out of stock and they should have them within 2 weeks. 2 weeks rolled around and no phone call. We called and they said, "Sorry, we still dont have your couches in stock." So, we drove 30 min back to Muncie, spoke to the gentleman at the front desk and he says "Yes, we have your couches well get everything loaded up and the driver will give you a call 30 min before he heads your way." We then gave him an alternate phone number to call us on because we were no longer using the previous number we had given him... So, we drive back to home. We get a call about 5 hours later and they say "Turns out, we dont have your couches, can we text you pictures of other ones you may be interested in?" So, they proceed to text us pictures of couches of which I had no interest in. Eventually, we decided upon one. They then call us to tell us "Well, its too late for today so well deliver everything tomorrow." The next day rolls around and still no phone call. So, once again, we call the store and it turns out they were calling the old number we had given them and thats why no one was answering. Whatever; so they then say "Were getting everything loaded up well be there around 4:30pm." So, they show up, as scheduled (the delivery crew; whom dont work for American Freight, where great! They were super polite & distributed our furniture throughout the house where it was intended to go) and SURPRISE... they loaded up the incorrect lamp. As we got to know the delivery drivers and became more acquainted with them... we told them about the couch situation and the driver states "Yeah, they definitely had your red couches, they just ended up selling them to someone else instead." So, they take the incorrect lamp back to the store and say "We can have the correct one delivered in about 4 days, no charge." 4 days roll around... STILL NO LAMP. You can understand why Im EXTREMELY frustrated at this point! So, I call the next day & they deliver it, cool. Whatever. Still disappointed as hell! We didnt have all of our furniture in time for when our family came to see our new home for the first time and the process was very stressful! As a previous associate who has worked in a sales position, if a customer is spending HIGH DOLLAR, they become high priority. Not that everyone else is not high priority but you want to make that sale go as smooth as possible so they return to the store to blow some more HIGH DOLLAR cash. But, no. I will never return to this store.

UPDATE: DO NOT BUY FROM THESE GUYS -Short Version: First of all, do not trust the 4 and 5 star reviews. Most were made in return for free lamps. My matress, and my moms, sagged significantly within 4 months of purchase. We were given the runaround to get replacements and didnt receive them for 2 months. The delivery guyservice told us they hear about problems all the time. Its not just us. -Full Explanation: My mom and I received our matresses in November. By February we had noticed our matresses had already sagged significantly where we slept. My mom called Tyler and explained what happened. We took pictures of our matresses and went into the store. After some words, he offered to replace them. We waited two months to hear about our new matresses. Noone called us. When my mom called Tyler again, she was given the runaround until he finally "discovered" that he did in fact have some in the back room. He refused to cover the replacement delivery and haul-away. We finally received our matresses today (4-10-16) and only time will tell if these are better. We asked the delivery guys how often they do returns and they told us that (and Im paraphrasing) probably 3 out every 5 customers they talk to are dissatisfied. They said that they hear comments about Tyler all the time, and theyre not good. He was the only person we mentioned so I dont know about the other people that work there. They also said they are constantly doing returns. They told us that the owner of American Freight owns the company that manufactures some of the matresses sold at the store, so the salesmen, Tyler included (who claims to never lie to you, as described below), push the bad matresses made by the boss. Thats a conflict of interest if I ever saw one. Tyler is constantly (and I mean every other sentence) saying things like "you know Im not going to lie to you" and "were an honest business" and "Im not going to do you wrong". It raises my flags when anyone speaks like that. He also promised us things that he A) didnt tell anyone else about or make a note of and B) didnt tell the men he has delivering his matresses. It caused friction anytime we had to interact with anyone. Original Post: Good deal on matresses, and we were acknowledged right away. Our salesman was very knowledgeable and helpful.

I have never felt so welcomed into a store than I did with American Freight. I was immediately approached and was shown to the area that I was looking for (mattresses). Frank than came over and spent nearly an hour with me to help pick out the best mattress for myself. He was amazing. His knowledge and customer service was exceptional. He went over and above to make me a happy customer. The entire staff ensured that I got the product I wanted and made sure it was delivered and set up. I could have not asked for a better experience with this store. If you are ever in the market for new furniture, then see Tyler and his remarkable staff. Their prices cannot be beat and they will do everything they can to ensure you leave with a product and a smile on your face.

Me and my wife went in to purchase a living room set. We found one and it was not in stock ok. Rick was the salesman initially somewhat attempting to help us as he would leave us at every chance he could when we had questions. Tyler then told us he could get the pieces from another store and had done it twice that day but when Rick found out Tyler told us that he said it couldnt be done. Guess what? You are not the only store and no I did not want to lower my standards and purchase the cheaper crap that was "in stock"! Never seen anyone work so hard to not work in any furniture store in my life. $2,000 sale taken elsewhere.

UPDATE: had issues getting all of the products we ordered delivered then in just a couple of months the mattresses were already sagging. Went in and asked for them to be replaced, they agreed and said 4 - 6 weeks. At least 8 weeks later i still had no new mattress and had to call. They claimed they had just arrived the previous day...then i had to pay again to have them brought to my house and the others returned to the store. I thought the delivery should be free since it was their product that failed. Original Post: Tyler is very knowledgeable about the matresses we were shopping for. Love the layaway option too!
