PLEASE SEE MY YELP REVIEW FOR MY RESPONSE TO YOURS!!!!! I have heard bad things about this place from other people, not their reviews, which left me hesitant to go up to Kokomo at first. A lot of talk about how rude the staff was ect ect ect. I finally gave in and went up there to see for myself. Maybe I caught them on a good day but the staff was somewhat friendly. A little more assistance would have been nice, as i believe I was the only customer in the store at the time. The store was big and had a lot of cool stuff. Now for the reason I gave the 1 star. I read a lot of your responses to people on here and thats just terrible customer service. I get you are not a big corporate business. But still, to trash the people who dislike your store is frankly childish. You accused one person of being another disgruntled store and even went as far as to say someones doesnt know someone famous. How do you know? If I said I was President Obamas step grandson can you prove Im not? You must know all these people personally to know so much about their lives. The guy you called a jealous small time toy dealer, well that was really childish. You bashed this person then invited him back?!?! Really?!?! Do you think they will come back and spend money after that? Then the guy who said he had to look around for something you said you had in stock wasnt there. I dont know all the details, as I was not there. Maybe it was the next day he came in or maybe 5 minutes after he called. You should have said we are sorry for that, next time we will do a better job of trying to hold the items for you or assisting you in looking for them when you come in. Customers shouldnt have to ask for service that should be provided. Also the guy who said you never answer or are open during store hours. He said it was during posted hours, your response was to degrade his intelligence. WOW! How do you know he didnt look on Google, or Facebook, or called the right number. Maybe he even walked up and pulled on the door and it was locked with the open sign off, if you have one. Maybe instead of making him feel stupid, great customer service, apologize and give him the store number and hours then assure him you are there to help him next time and invite him back. How about instead of trashing the people who dislike you, try being understanding. Apologies are more welcomed than negativity, especially when it comes from a business. Look, not everyone is going to like you, its a fact with every company from the smallest to the largest. However, word of mouth can ruin small businesses. Just think for every negative review you respond negatively too, not just that person but the people, like me who read them, are lost customers. Its the old kill them with kindness, maybe you will win them back instead of lose more customers. Now as for prices, yes some of your toys are overpriced and some are spot on and again some are under. You bashed the one guy about his review and example of the price. I have no clue what condition yours is in, as I do not care about star wars toys. I did, however, do my own eBay research. If it as bad as he said its in, all the damage he mentioned, then yes he is right as the ones sold went for around 60-70 with less damage then he mentioned. Now if yours is in mint condition, without the damage this guy said it has, then you would be right and they can go for over 100. I always look at the sold listings not what people are trying to sell them for, theres a huge difference. Someone can ask a price but its what the price people are selling them for that count. Personally, I believe the guy as he was very specific as to what was wrong. But, I dont really know what it looks like, so it is what it is.In conclusion, I would probably have returned someday to buy. But, after reading how you trash the ones who dont like the service, store, prices or whatever, I will not return to this store.

I went to this store today for the first time. I then reviewed the store on their Facebook page. My only complaint was the prices. As I told them, I get its their store and they can charge whatever they like. Im a huge collector and know what to look for i.e. variants, grading, current values ect. The owner proceeded to inform me I dont know anything and need to do my research. I attempted to respond and give an example of their over pricing to find out they blocked me from their page. Whatever, it happens. I even gave them an OK review 3/5 stars with my only issue being price. I only collect vintage star wars toys and thats where my experience lies. Heres the example I attempted to give them. They have a Han Solo in trench coat MOC ROTJ 77 back and they were asking $65. I would gladly pay the $65 or even a little more for this piece... EXCEPT... it wasnt mint on card. There was a dime size hole on the card behind Han, someone circled the figures I assume they collected on the back of the card with a pen and they traced the star in the star wars logo in pen also. Now, any real collector knows the condition of the card, bubble condition, of theres yellowing and does it have ink marks make the value of any item.. star wars or not. Basically they were asking the price of a C-8 item for this C-4/C-5. If you want fair prices for good items I suggest closet space toys.. if youre near kokomo or not in Indy they are opening a store in Ingalls, IN on the 28th of July. The staff at closet space is very friendly and knowledgeable and willing to wheel and deal some too. FIRST AND LAST TIME GOING TO KOKOMO TOYS!!!

A friend, my daughter and myself went up to Kokomo. From my house to the shop literally takes 5 turns and just about 30 minutes for me to get there from Westfield/Noblesville. I was actually there to sell stuff more than I was to buy, but I did walk out with a couple of items. The shop is amazing. It is FULL from top to bottom, but it is very organized. The owner is not only a salesman, but he is also a fan, which is nice. His wife is also knowledgeable on the hobby, which is rare amongst Joe-fan wives. My thanks to his kids for entertaining my daughter for a little while we were going through stuff. If you can imagine my excitement at seeing the shop, put yourself in a 7 year-olds shoes and you could understand why she needed some distracting. Anyway, it was an awesome time - Ill be back and I encourage anyone who is within reach of Kokomo on a Saturday to stop in and give him some business.

Kokomo Toys & Collectibles is family owned and operated store. They have a wide variety of vintage and modern toys. They specialize in 80s to current G.I. Joe, but also have a great selection of Transformers, Star Wars, He-Man, Thundercats, McFarlane, Marvel and D.C. super heroes, and various other toy lines. Todd, the owner, is friendly and very knowledgeable. His prices are always more than fair. The store is easy to find right off of US Highway 31. I have been to their store (an hour north of me) several times and it is well worth the trip. Are you tired of overpaying for stuff from faceless sellers on eBay? I highly recommend a trip to their store. You can’t beat buying from a great store, which will probably have what you are looking for. If they dont, then they will work very hard to try and find the items you are looking for. Remember: They are currently only open on Saturdays.
