This is small town America at its best! Passed through on the way to Winchester and we were thoroughly impressed with the town. On the way back we had to stop. Walking into this general store is like a step back in time, and its awesome. The candy store is very cool, theres all kinds of specialty retail candy you dont see in a grocery store, chocolates in the bins and a very cool, vintage nut machine. The nut machine alone is worth the stop, anyone who likes vintage stuff would like that a lot. The merchandise side is cool too, various things and some old stuff too. Great to stop by if you get the chance. The owner was very relaxed and nice, said we could let ourselves in next door and browse the other shop with more furniture like items. I hope this place sticks around for a long time, and I hope business does well.

BUYERS BEWARE... Visited this shop February 25. Bought lots of candy. Checked the exp date on the first couple of packages I picked up.They were good, so did not check every piece I purchased. When I got home (2 hours away) I took a bite of my twix... tasted nasty, looked at the exp date, and it expired a year and a half ago!!!!

Sign says they open at 1pm on Mondays I waited an hour in front of the store they never opened. Very frustrating, I normally spend about $50. My son was very disappointed. Not sure if Ill come back again.
