When Market District opened, the staff were friendly, the selection of food products incredible, and the atmosphere new & exciting. Over the past week Ive noticed a big change. Last Wednesday night my wife & a number of other people were ignored by deli staff for 20 minutes while they talked about personal matters. Not work. Not the 4 people waiting there. Then today were in there today. Alot of the shelves are empty. I asked about a sale item and the female was extremely put out that I asked about if they had more stock in back. Im like, sorry I bothered you. When I was leaving I said something in passing to the checkout clerk who grabbed the Manager. After giving her a short run down of what happened, she gives me the most lifeless Im sorry. Can I give you a $10 coupon? . I just left. No Im not there for a coupon. How about a meaningful apology, stock your shelves, and get your employees to show some respect to your customers? It will offset the fact your prices have been gradually going up.

This being the first week, its hard to give a review but here are my initial thoughts. They offer free valet and golf cart rides to and from your car. That seems great but geez... The produce section is well stocked with both organic and conventional items with some that are pretty exotic which is cool. The prepped meal items look fresh and well made with reasonable prices. The deli, cheese, and butcher area were really swamped with folks looking so it was hard to order items. The butcher shop didnt have brisket but the main stays of steaks, roasts, and ground meats. The rest of the store is pretty standard and has a good mix of high end and standard offerings. I found prices to be in line with others in the area but it will remain to be seen if that changes. They could have been deflated due to the new opening. I plan on returning about a month after opening just to re-evaluate.

Not sure what all the hoopla is about. It was a brisk day and the produce side of the store was freezing cold to the point that we did not want to spend time there. Warm up by the chicken roasters! The seating area for casual dining is right inside the entrance doors. How uncomfortable on a cold day. It was not inviting at all. The "International" aisles had less imported items than those seen at other local stores, Pricey selections, especially the restaurant menu. You will find unique items, such as single servings of "natural" oatmeal to be mixed with water including a spoon which cost more than a whole box of oatmeal. The sample really tasted like shredded tree bark. The store is not all that it could be..

Such a great selection of high quality brand and store brand items. We had a very friendly and helpful employee take the time to help us pick out the perfect Whiskey as a present for our boss in the liquor section and found some great food to bring to our family holiday party. There were also some amazing bulk coffees and unique bulk teas I couldnt resist. Not to mention, this place is huge!! They have everything and more. Standard grocery items, unique stuff, wide selection of deli meats, prepared foods and sandwiches, ice cream shop, bulk spices, coffe, teas, gift baskets, amazing baked goods and pastries, I could go on. Friendly, helpful staff. Good amount of parking and space. Loved it!

I had to scheduled 2 assessment skills test with the bakery and both times the manager was unaware or prepared for me. Then the manager proceeded to act like it was my fault, all she kept saying was "I didnt have time to check my email." When in fact I had scheduled it 4 days prior. When I walked into the store I passed 4 yes 4 managers and not a single one said hello to me. I walked by 8 or so employees and the only one to say hello was the bakery clerk after trying to get his attention. This place is a joke and they need to focus on the actual people and not bc they are sooo amazing bc of selling python meat.

Amazing! Wonderful selection of food and very high quality! Fresh fish, prime and dry aged beef, fresh pastas, vegetables etc. customer service was equally amazing and the managers were highly visible. The prices in the grocery section were Comparable to Meijer, only a wider selection and much more beautiful displays. We spent 3 hours in the market and time flew by. Truly a feast for the eyes and we plan on making it our new grocery store of choice! This is the only grocery weve ever seen prime of this caliber! The Marker District is an experience in and of itself! A must see at the least!

Love the fresh selection of meats and seafood. Bakery is also very nice, only thing was the employee, he wasnt very helpful and was rude, I asked for one cannoli and he continued to tell me he couldnt find it and asked me where it was in a impatient way... I dont know how one could work or help in that section if they cant even find something right in front of them. I then continued on to ask a bread baker if they had any Cuban bread, only to also be given a confused look and response, "what is that?" At this point, its just another grocery store trying to be fancier than Walmart.

Market District is very close to my work and on my way home, that alone leads to it being someplace we enjoy going. It is close enough to walk to at work, so there are times we head over for a bite to eat, which sounds kind of strange. Quality of items has all been high and so far, the prices are still very competitive with other local markets. They have speciality things inside as well, such as a popcorn machine, huge wine room and a gelato bar. All in all a great upscale market with reasonable prices and a unique selection as well.

Market district is GREAT! One piece of advice though, bring your walking shoes because this place is HUGE and everything is spread out. If you like more selection and things you wont find in most other markets youll love market district. Beyond that, if youre no chef and are looking for prepared foods that you can heat and eat, their chefs are outstanding. For this reason alone if I were to plan a party or event Market district would be my first stop for a caterer to see what they can offer.

Def not impressed. It was an ok selection. From how it was avertised and talked about I expected so much more. They could of taken a much needed lesson from Jungle Jims on what they were (I think) trying to do though. The fresh meat looked good and wish I could of tried a couple of the sausages. We got a couple chocolate covered pretzels and I got a bagel... I dont think they know what a bagel is. This was a poorly done dinner roll shaped liked a bagel. Its not a place I would go back to.

This new opened supermarket does have some great features. Generous samples, sale price for some items. The online membership card system is awful, most difficult to use. Overall, I like it until I found that I was taxed for a small box of raspberry and a bag of snack pop corn, which you can find in any supermarket. Arent food and fresh produce supposed to be tax free? This store has excellent staff. However, it seems the whole management system is pretty a mess.
