Where do I begin... Went to see about selling a diamond and gold ring I had and never wear....the guy talked me into just doing a loan for 100 so I could get it back because its a nice piece. I decided to go ahead and do the loan instead of selling. He told me that if I decided to sell it still after paying off the loan for 120 he would buy it from me for 100. A few weeks later I was short on money for my daughters birthday party and decided to sell it. A different guy helped me and only offered me $40. The guy that helped me before was right there and I explained that he had said before he would do 100. Mind you this is a $400 ring. $40? No thanks. And I find it hard to do further business with them or refer them after seeing first hand how they will try to swindle returning customers. No thanks. On the bright side this prompted me to make an ad on 5mile and I sold my ring for $250. So while I cant recommend these scammers I would definitely suggest selling your items on 5mile or letgo apps instead do you get more value for your items

Mike, Patti and the entire staff at Family Jewelry & Loan are AWESOME!!!! My wife, Amber and I have done business there for close to 2 years now, and have nothing but the BEST experience and customer service whenever we go. Weve bought, sold and pawned numerous items over the years, and can say that we are 100% satisfied with the level of service and merchandise that Family Jewelry & Loan provides. Whenever we purchase items; whether electronics, jewelry, tools, etc., we feel we get a GREAT value for what we purchase. They carry many name brand electronics, beautiful jewelry and other household items that are in great condition at a great price. Theyve helped us out numerous times with pawns when weve found ourselves in a bind for cash, and they have easy payback terms at a fair rate. Overall, we LOVE doing business at Family Jewelry & Loan, and will keep coming back for years to come!!!!

WOW, fake reviews much??? Im in this store at least a couple times a week and I can promise you the experience is nothing like what these 40+ reviews are saying. they are bitter, and get off on getting over on people. ESPECIALLY THAT GIRL WIT THE GLASSES THE THE YOUNG HISPANIC ONE.. SHE GOT REAL AUTHORITY PROBLEMS.. YOU CAN BRING HER A BRAND NEW NEVER OPENED ITEM, WORTH 100$ SHE GANNA TELL YOU 20$ TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT. DONT EVER GO HERE.. Trust me there are FARRRR better pawn shops then this in Waukegan area.. dont let all these strung out/fake reviews fool you.

Terrific Store. i needed bikes for the kids for when we visit my parents house out east and told the gal who helped me git rid of my ex wedding band. The store associate not only called me first each time a bike of my particulars came in, but when she got all four together, she threw in some bulk discount and I feel like I got the deal of the century. A Schwinn, two giants, and a trek. Like I said we couldnt be happier. No more tickets trying to park at the beach!

I had a better experience than expected with my return..... I purchased a device that needed cellular capability and the device was not eligible to be activated with phone service. The staff reviewed my concern and also refunded my full purchase amount so that I could purchase a similar device at another store. This really helped me because I did not want to return home empty handed. Thank you for giving me a great experience!

Mike is the friendliest most honest pawn guy I have seen. Its rare to feel like you get a fair shake at a pawn shop but they always make me feel like Im getting a good deal. This is the only pawn shop I will still go to. They give fair prices and work with you when buying things. They are the best and I highly recommend you give them a try first. From an ALWAYS happy customer.

This place is awesome! I was at first offered $25-30 for my xbox 360 250 GB. I was walking out when the GM stepped in and said that they really want my business. He was willing to negotiate to double what I was originally offered. I really like the fact that they went above and beyond to ensure I was satisfied. Once again this place is awesome.

This is the best place you can go! I never have any problems getting the help I need. Mike and his team are seriously the best in the county area.. Ill never go to a different shop again. Only gave it 3 stars becuz I havent actually pawned anything there but the rep over the phone was super nice and even gave me a referral to another business that could possibly help me since they could not. Thats good business & if I do need to pawn something, Ill probably check them out first.

Total scum bags. I went in there with a 50 grams of scrap silver and they offered 8 bucks. I went to William H LTD and he offered me 16. Lying, manipulative, scum bags.
