Another new HPB for 2016 (though it may have opened in 2015). Near Woodfield Mall (just west on Golf Rd). Great selection of Sci-fi books and RPGs. This one also has a nice little "coffee" area to sit and read. I might be mistaken but this one also seems to have more new books. Staff is always friendly and I love that most HPB employees seem to be book lovers first and employees second. Do you guys get free books? Cause that would be awesome. Heck first dibs on the stuff people bring in would be cool! Anyway, great store, spent a lot of time and money there.

Wonderful place to find books, music albums, and DVDs. Good prices on most of the items, very close to Amazon prices online. You wont find everything, most of the items here are used or pre-owned. It is a hit or miss. You find it or your dont. Only complaint I have is they do not give you enough money when you donate items. I donated 15 books once that were practically brand new and they only gave me $5.00 for them. I know they have to make money but I should of gotten at least $15 or 20.

This place is awesome when it comes to buying books, comics, dvds, and other novelty items. They have a wide selection and everything is organized and easy to find. The staff is friendly and helpful. I have also sold them some of my old books, cds, and comics--I did feel they lowballed on the offers, thats the only downfall. So if you are expecting to get good money for your stuff, youll be disappointed. Overall though, this place great for finding some rare items and at good prices.

Why pay full price for books, games or music? Oh, and they buy! Were moving! huge collection of CDs and DVDs, but realized that were going digital. plenty of memories and sentimental value, but if we never play them... Anyway, called HPB and was walked through the process of donating for money. Brought them in and they were very courteous, and we got a decent offer - more than we thought. We ended up spending some of it there - why not? Always a great experience. Back often.

Books, VHS, CD, DVD, and video games. Earth friendly recycled media and budget friendly with reduced prices on pre-owned. Sell your media here as well. I would like to see them do more events and marketing to raise awareness. Create and connect social reading and interest groups, hobbyist and enthusiast community.

Great place to sell those old textbooks/books collecting dust in the corner somewhere hassle-free. The amount you get for selling your books may not be much (depending on market demand), but it beats the alternative selling your books on some online auction waiting for a buyer.

I love spending hours wandering around in this store browsing the aisles. They sell used books, used video games, classic old games, and so much more than a traditional used bookstore. The only thing they are missing is a few comfy chairs to sit and read in.

Why pay full price for books? I LOVE Half Price books and this location is close to Woodfield, kind of tucked behind a few big box workout-golf stores...however, super nice store with great hours and books HALF PRICED! Thanks for opening close to ME!

They have all kinds of value entertainment for sale, not just books! Audio, video, games of all kinds, and almost all of it at a great price. The only problem is grabbing absolutely everything you want and making your credit card bleed!

Thee best place to be. They have an extraordinary collection of books from all genres....in good condition. They also have an amazing cd, and dvd section. I love shopping here. The fam and i try to go at least once a month.

I was able to find some books that were definitely a steal. It is a hit or miss for the most part. You wont find everything you are looking for and it wont always be the best deal, but worth a quick 30 minutes.
