This is a terrible store to shop in. The staff is not helpful, and treats people as if they are an inconvenience. I was told by two staff members that the book I was looking for was only available as an e-book, even though their own customer computer listed it in paperback form and in stock. I could not find the book, and the staff was totally unwilling to help me find it. I went to make a seperate purchase, and felt the cashier was about to fall asleep on me. He gave me his standard sales pitches, but did them because he had to. No friendliness to be found at all. I miss Borders, and wish it was this company that went out of business instead

Very helpful, very well priced educational materials and we like the tabletop games section. Im the kind of person who needs to touch and hold the books Im looking at to ensure their worthiness and avoid the tricks and scams online before I buy. Places like this are a necessity! I buy from here as often as I can and support the book end more then the coffee shop. Online stores need off line stores for balance and competition. Otherwise whats to stop the online stores from going up if they dont have anyone to out sell?

Everything you would expect from this chain of book stores. The employees in this one are more thoughtful than your average though. Had to write this after getting home because I bought a cup of coffee there and was looking at books when the lid slid free and an orgy of hot coffee poured all over my arms. A passing store clerk stopped and offered to help, as well as made arrangements to get me a new cup of coffee free of charge. Definitely better customer service than most places you would find yourself in these days.

The bookstore staff is ok (not especially friendly), but the Starbucks barista is very nice and enthusiastic. I like to go to Barnes and Noble to take advantage of their free wi-fi service. I recently moved here and visited the Barnes & Noble at Cherryvale Mall. Everything seems pretty nice except it was impossible to connect to their network. My friend wasnt able to, either. It was extremely disappointing - I will try Panera next time.

Great bookstore that is also a fun place to sit down and read a magazine, or browse for a new book. They have a cafe with bakery treats, coffee, tea, etc... and a sizable section for kids to sit and read books too. Always clean and at the end cap of a mall, so you can park outside, and then walk through into the mall for more shopping. Very clean.

Was told they wouldnt be getting 2 vinyls out until tomorrow then one of the employees proceeded to show me the vinyls I was looking for and asked if it was what I wanted, I said yes and he told me he wouldnt sell them to me. His supervisor told him it was a legal matter even though they were out today on the artists website and online.

Tell me,,,,,, what does this mean? after 2days I finally got a hold of someone and found out it would take 3 wks to get here. No thanks B&N

I repeatedly called to see if a book was available to give for a Christmas gift. The clerks would let the phone ring to the maximum number of rings, pick up the line, then just hang up without saying a word. HORRIBLE service and I will take my business else where.

Melissa helped me, and I do not say that lately. She was remarkable. This gal was informative, Pleasant, well mannered and soft-spoken and obviously very educated. She would bring me back to the store over and over again.

Atmosphere is OK, Starbucks inside is good. Prices are ridiculous compared to anything online so I almost never actually buy anything.
