I tried to buy from a discount table again but they had eliminated it. When I asked why I was not told on my recent visit they said "we never do that " in a rather huffy way. I asked why no sign was posted about elimination of this nice discount chance for people with many grandkids... again "we never do that" so I told him that I meet lots of seniors in our Center and other people and I will share this with my friends. Went to BorDERS - they had a discount table, to, were VERY helpful in directing me and also mentioned this would be discontinued on Monday..... so I get a chance to go back and find gifts there. I can attest to the snootiness and lack of interest in the customer. Yes, you can sit there for hours---- so can you at Borders...... but I was hoping for some active selling effort.... helpful attitude. Sorry!

Years ago there was Krochs & Brentanos Bookstore and Booksellers Row (for used books) - the latter having been located near the corner of Fullerton and Clark in Chicago and I believe both no longer in business. Now Barnes & Noble has relaxing reading areas, helpful staff and a good selection overall of books.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is they seem to lack many titles, such that you can find a book #2 in a series, but not a #1. Also books are organized in a hard to find manner that even the staff is visibly frustrated with.

This location broke their policy of not putting clearance items on hold and when I went to purchase the item they lied and said they didnt have it. Dont shop where people lie to their customers.

AN ACTUAL BOOKSTORE. These are not rare but not easy to come by so support print media. For a one level B&N the collection is enormous and you can still get lost!
